Prayers for Ren 🙏. He seemed like he was doing so good but Lyme disease and auto immunity are so difficult. We need Ren, he is such a valuable and unique part of the world we live in.

A little bit of optimistic news: Ren's team posted on IG that he's back home, out of A&E, and he's resting. His doctors are trying to determine what kind of treatment he'll need next. No other details, but hopefully that means he's out of the emergency phase. #RenMakesMusic

Ive heard the prince comparison before, I've even said it myself, and people laughed. I actually think Ren is more talented as an all round artist, on top of everything you mentioned he also produces pretty much everything and co directs his incredibly impressive videos.

Guys , the problem is Ren is Chronically sick. Last weekend they where shooting a new video and he endet up in
A&E due to complications with his autoimmunity. So if it wasn’t for his medical issues I’m sure he would by now blow up like a 🚀. But the truth is, that he can only do what his health allows him and he uses the windows where he is doing well, as best he can! ❤
You are correct. Ren doesn’t want to be “famous”, he just wants to create. Ren isn’t as well known as Ed because Ren is independent. He rarely does shows, due to his health and doesn’t have industry pushing him into the limelight. He has turned down money and Collaborations with well known artist simply because he wasn’t “feeling it”.
Scarlet Fae (The glorious afro back signer) has released some original content. 'til the wheels live (I would suggest the one filmed with an audience) has an interesting take on contemporary R&B, seeing your reaction to the vocals of that piece, I think you will appreciate, reaction or not. She has 4K subscribers and deserves way more recognition. I hope you enjoy 😉

The fact that Ed Sheeran and Prince are in the conversation with Ren is high praise. And I can understand why. Ren should really be at that level too, but his illness and being independent means he will never reach those levels. But he's definitely on their level for talent.

Not sure if you recognized Kai - the base player - he was Kujo in the Beat Down. You may have come at this in a backwards way but you're becoming one of my favourite Ren reactors. if you want to see Ren on the piano it might be time to do the Money Game trilogy. Or the video "For Joe". Both are amazing. Ren's illness has stopped him from doing live performances, or touring and he has no label for promotion so Ren got a #1 album just from online and fan support. Ren was in hospital and only just got out today so much love and best wishes to him.

That's true, and I believe the lady on the right is the one who plays the part of Kujo's girlfriend, if I'm not mistaken.

Retakes are basically a cover track with Rens own spin on it. This one is basically a cover of Back on 74 by Jungle and Message in a Bottle by the Police with Ren rapping in the middle.
Also, @ScarlettFae is the background singer you mentioned. She's also worth checking out.
Ed Sheeran is a perfect example of the industry turning someone cool into something not so cool. He may be huge but he’s lost his Street cred over the years, putting out nice little pop ditties.
I agree and its heartbreaking to see.
This, and I doubt a collab would happen because of this. Ren stays true to himself.

I’m 61 years old and a huge Ren fan. I have not went a day without listening to Rens music since I found him over 2 years ago. He has everything thing I love in an artist.
I’m 69 and I feel the same way. Ren is a once in a generation artist.

hes worked with Prof, Chris webby and Krizz Kaliko has him in his sights. Ren has been offered to work with some big names but he wont do it if he isn't all keen on what the song is about so hes turned them down. he'd rather work with something that means something to him than sell out to work with someone big. Ren is very humble and I am enjoying my journey down the rabbit hole with you.

Prince - I totally agree with that comparison. The skills, the genre crushing, the song writing, the production. (Ren was about to break with Trick The Fox in 2010, same time as Ed Sheeran, but got sick). He has got sick again, when we hoped he had maybe turned a corner, so fingers crossed for him

Ren often has little Easter eggs in his songs. Ren released this song just before his his Nas retake. During Rens rap bit on this song he says a line about “that’s a Nas shout out with an awkward-pause.” In his next release, Nas retake, he then has a line in that where one of his words are censored (by Ren) and his mouth is pixelated causing an awkward pause. He is a clever little bunny is our Ren. Great reaction as always xx

Mackay is a piano instrumental by Ren that shows off a lot of his classical influence and skill. He could write some stunning movie scores.
Prince was one of my absolutely favorite artists ever! I am 54, and Prince was IT back in my day. Prince is a self-taught musician and plays 22 instruments. He is a musical prodigy. Ren plays guitar, keyboards, and drums. So much talent!

Loving this journey. I think Prince is a very respectable comparison with the only exception that Ren touches hearts and moves souls. There is a personal connection that so many have with Ren. In terms of talent, Prince is a good comparison though.

I swear those girls voices sound like Heaven. Imagine your eyes are closing for the last time and that's the sound you hear. Chef's kiss. Couple things hopping around, It's hard to pin down Ren when you try to compare him to a great established artist. We all do it and you use solid references to do so. Prayers up for Ren as he has very recently relapsed with his Lyme Disease and had to be hospitalized while filming his latest "Tales" videos. He is now being cared for at home but is trying to get better so he can resume his treatment in Canada. He made posts on UA-cam about it.

Ren is like Krizz Kalico, he is into tonnes of different genres and he writes and produces got lts of awards
He is a busker at heart. The RENiverse is an amazing place to be apart of. And just think you are still at the beginning of your exploration. You will find yourself saying this is my favorite often though your journey.
It's hard to compare Ren to anyone. He's so unique and does so many styles of music. He plays bass, guitar and piano amazingly and probably more. His vocal range and the amount of styles he can do is also insane. And then you've got the incredible poetry/lyrical skills and the creative vision of his videos etc. He really is incredibly talented. Also, Ren is quite intoverted and that, along with his health issues, mean that he's not someone searching for fame. Plus, as he says in multiple songs, he hates the greed and backstabbing in the industry. Hence the whole Kujo beatdown! 😂
I feel the exact same way wondering if I would ever experience an artist that would give me the genuis of Prince ever again and Ren has succeded that!
Actually when I found Ren 2 years ago I also compared him to Prince. He isn't at that level, but he is a solid #2. Go with T - DIP!
Ren is independent, he does nearly everything with his team.
He also plays the trumpet, Bass guitar and drums.

One issue with an independent artist like Ren and doing collabs, often a major label signed artist doesn't have the artistic freedom to just collab with anyone. Ren does not compromise on his art or change it for a label, and he certainly wouldn't let a label dictate his work or be a $ grab for them. So even an artist that would want to and be a great collab often the stars wont align for something like that to happen.

I’m in the USA and I never knew Ed could bar until last year or 2. It would be a great collab!!
But Ed is with a label and Ren is independent, so it might not ever happen
for me, Ren is a generational talent, he is just extraordinary, who else can write their own beats, sings, raps, beatboxes, plays instruments, covers multiple genres does 1 take videos and all that with ease, its just absolutely absurd

You may have already been told this but just in case, Ren is a multi instrumentalist including he can play classical piano pieces. There is a video where he is at a grand piano playing a beautiful classical piece of music. After he is finished playing a guy comes up and says that he loved it and could he get the sheet music for it, Ren thanks him for the compliment but then apologises that there is no sheet music because he just made it up right then and there. Which is mind blowing in its own right but the fact that he is self totally self-taught in every single instrument he plays, totally blows my mind 🤯🤯🤯
I am a new subscriber to you guys. I absolutely love your chemistry together and I am really enjoying the fact that you are actually artists yourselves. For me personally it takes Ren reactions to a whole new level when it’s artists giving their reactions.
I am a middle aged white Aussie woman with no real musical knowledge I just know what I like and if it moves me I’ll keep listening to it. But I think I know enough to know that my recommendation I’m about to make will be right out of your wheel houses and probably that of most of your fans and subscribers?
Please Please listen to Swan Song by The Big Push!!! I don’t know what genre it would be, it could possibly be classified as a hymn? I believe that it is an original written by Goran one of the guys in the band. But since you guys appreciate harmonies and given that Ren plays a bizarre little instrument that I don’t even know the name of I really think at the very least you will find it interesting and it will give you an insight into the many levels of Ren’s gifts and talents.
I stumbled across Ren via Hi Ren when it first came out on UA-cam 2 ish years ago? He had a bit less than 30k followers then and I have been a RENegade before their was a name for his fans and I have only seen one channel watch and react to Swan Song 😢 I would really love to hear your thoughts.
I’ll even be happy if you watch it off air and give it a mention in another video of REN’s eg next time you are moved by harmonies you could compare for a minute.
