I love Hiro's stage presence. Ben helped make Soundgarden what it was in its mainstream era, but Hiro's bass playing deserves recognition too. And that tone is killer!
Jeremy's bass sounds more like being a tribute to King's X than anything else (Doug Pinnick trademark 12 string bass), a band which Jeff Ament himself advertises as creators of the grunge sound (listen to song Pleiades) and later on Jerry Cantrell would emulate their style (although he never admitted of course, being the cunt that he is and probably being VERY controlling while Layne was alive, but that's another story...) xDDD
@@ottogofast3882 Exactly, this is basically the baseline of all he future vocals. He made this weird noise and thought that sounds wicked, then expanded the fuck out of his head voice.
one of the most underrated drum beats. and yes Yamamoto and Jeff Ament are the greatest bass players of that time frame.

¡corre pequeño joe , corre y alcanza la luz ! :-b
@wickedsensation Lie not light.
You can always tell the old Soundgarden music because Hiro's still on bass...
I like Hiro better than frankenstien
Love that voice that totally kills your ears so that's fucking high! Love you Chris...
One of the first songs I heard by Soundgarden. I was hooked, what can I say. Absolute brilliance. RIP Chris!
Same here! Still love this song soooo much in 2022. ❤️😎👍
it's Matt Cameron. their previous drummer (Scott Sunquist, apologies if the spelling is wrong) quit in 1986
Very beautifull song!! Grazie mille per il video!!!! :)
Back in the early UW days. Is that Hiro Yamamoto on bass? Early footage indeed.
Yep, that is Hiro! 👍😎
Wow, this is definitely the version that goes up to 11.
Wow how young
I think this is when Chris just started to play the guitar
Whats not to luv🔥 my ears were trained for this.. RIP Chris ♥️

@TFP2001 LOL teh bassline to Jeremy says otherwise on influence.

lol. Chris Cornell on helium....this was obviously before he really developed his upper register.
Man In Black wrong, he’s experimenting with his mixed voice here. It’s just a different vocal technique on an experimental song.
It's still gold tho
