Thanks for watching!
I love how the sound of the Macintosh crash screens sound like: “Good job! Your computer has now crashed.”
Or rather, "The computer crashed...IT'S KNOCKING AT YOUR DOOR. OPEN IT."
0:16 the macintosh is claustrophobic, it has a lot of room to begin with making it happy but when it gets trapped in a small box during the boot-up error it gets dead
I agree that is actually very clever.
LOL
There is of course that one which sounds like a car crashing which is my favorite of them since it feels kinda comical when heard.
Macintosh Centris?
I think that was the Power Macintosh 6100 series.
@@Yeen125 yep
And one with a very dramantic theme with a badum tss at the end. You can get on the Machintosh LC 5200 by crashing it before any screen activity could be used.
@@Yeen125 dont forget to think 7100 and 8100
0:43 IKEA has now a 0.00001% discount on sofas!
When I was young, I had a big fear of these because I watched them alot. Watching these now gives me back memories.
1:18
that's creepy as all hell
EDIT: 1:42 is honestly worse
Edit: 3 likes
Well your edit comment is a long slow startup
you mran 1:17
Tell me about it...if my computer ever did a slow eerie chime like that, I'd bring it to an exorcist.
Yes
*VERY WORSE*
1:16 Gives me the shivers for some reason
Same
Ikr, i think it's because I assume the last tone is going to be slightly different.
Oh
Frrr
lmaoo same its the eeriest one
1:42 Trying to say where his treasures at before he passes away
hardware fail 😵
1:43 I would be creeped out by how slow it's going.
like in funeral
i would jump off a cliff man
Same
The beginning sounded like something new was gonna happen
@Randy Alaric What the hell does this have to do with my comment?
Im pretty sure the sad mac was the inspiration for the google chrome “Aw, snap!” Error screen
Nope the sad Mac was made before it
@@yjsnpi77 he said that the older icon was the inspiration for the new one... ._.
And it kinda reminds of the Adobe Flash kill screen(plugin)
Aw Shit! 🤣
thanks
_i cant unsee it now_
That one kinda reminds me of “Fearful Harmony”
Remember the PlayStation?
@@nebulouscat5477 Yeah, literally everyone does
Shit, now i scary this screens
Which one are you talking about? Specify the time marker.
I like how you didn't specify a timestamp so nobody knows what you're talking about
0:15 Without the chime of death its even more scarier.
true
DONT WATCH THIS SCREEN AT 00:15 AT NIGHT BECAUSE ITS REALLY REALLY SCARY
0:29 when our teachers computer is saving our homework lol
It just breaks?
I’m not surprised that the most unsettling versions of the chimes come from the PowerBook 190 and 5300. I have one and needless to say it is a very strange PowerBook indeed.
The 5300 was the worst piece of crap Apple ever produced.
Second might have been the ImageWriter LQ.
1:42 RIP Mac PowerBook5300cs
1:42 speed up 2×
Put it in 0.25 speed.
Enjoy
0.25 Slow 2 Fast
Still slow mom
For some reason I like how the death Chime sounds and the startup sound they're all great
Why did they start out so cheerful 😂 Like "Surprise! Your computer is dead!"
It was 3am i was little and i turned on a Mac Performa to play reader rabbit. I played the game it crashed with a sad bunny icon that scared me. THEN i restart the macintosh and this sad mac screen appears with the tones I RAN OUT OF THE ROOM AND WOULDNT COME BACK until my dad turned it off.
damn i need to a see a video of that sad bunny icon error
Old macintosh xomputers are scary sometimes
yup I had a dream that I had one it was 1986 and I saw a blue light and it was a computer and I turned it it was scary and them I saw the circuit board and then my mom came out and she was doing the laundry but them the clothes basket move and we noticed something was wrong also I had a backpack full of iPhones
Why was your family up at 3 AM?
Klet Calamity who’s mine?

that mac is the literal definition of "i'm coming! wait..! i'll be right there.. in a sec"
I remember in gradeschool one of my friends found a vulnerability in the Mac 2s that were linked together in a classroom, this was way back in like1994-5. He set me up dude! 🤣 He told me to open up display settings, and in this window there was a textbox that accepted typed input. Well I guess one parsed text, x2 wasn't recognized, and he knew it, so he told me to type it and press enter. I did and...KABOOM!☠️🤖☠️ The computer suddenly crashed, showing the crosseyed computer icon and uttering an error bleep. I was shocked! Then all of a sudden other computers in the room started to do the same, crashing and bleeping, since they were all networked together. Me and him bolted out of that classroom like lightning. The computer teacher never found out who did it. He actually blamed another kid. The teacher unfortunately spent hours and hours trying to correct the problem and had to cancel like all the classes that day! He was pissed. I don't blame him, just one Mac 2 in those days was worth 11k! 😬.
That old friend who told me to crash a computer is now a prestigious computer science professor at an ivy league university. 👍🤣
Mac: Hey, I don't want to Interrupt your work, but I have a Problem 😔
Windows: ME DEAD! 😡
Ikr, when getting a bsod you never expect it (unless you are purposely killing your pc) but you already know when your device lags and windows says EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE or a TRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR noise
Blue screens are literal nightmare fuel.
1:02 "sounds kinda eerie"
*Same*
1:30 Happy (for some reason)
1:40 Depressed
0:53 apple language translator: congrats! u destroyed vintage macintosh!
1:43 if that happened to me i would get chills
The slow chime already gave me chills when I heard it on UA-cam for the first time in my life. That moment was at 11:50 PM with lights on.
The powerbook hardware fail (long chime) sounds like it's saying goodbye while ascending to heaven
PowerBook 5300 cs crash sound is still 20x faster than my internet
0:27 It doesnt sound like a sad mac idk why im in love with that noise
Same
1:05 these ones vibe really hard
nananana nananana nananana nananana
I heard this in a Roblox game called bear alpha and it's sequel bear*
E-200?
uh oh e-200 is coming
Locker!
That PowerBook laptop was extremely slowed down, what gives? O-o
My Macintosh classic crashed twice in 2 seconds
I think (Krazy) Ken’s (from the Computer Clan) PowerBook 5300 did that in a video, but he was talking over it.
Power book 1999:GOTTA GO FAST
Powerbook 2000:Slow,WTF?
Powerbook have chimes of death in 1 minute (60 seconds), 1 minute and 30 seconds (90 seconds), 2 minutes (120 seconds), 30 minutes (1800 seconds)
1 hour (3600 seconds and 60 minutes), 1 hour and 30 minutes (5400 seconds and 90 minutes), 2 hours (7200 seconds and 120 minutes), and 3 hours (10800 seconds and 180 minutes) this Hawaiian chimes of death causing by 0.05 hours.
Glosshired imagine booting up your PowerBook and hearing the 3 hr long death chime, now that’s gonna take a lot of time and patience to hear the loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong death chime
That creepy Mac LC one terrified me when it happened to my computer as a kid.
Same, but I don't remember which Mac I had when little in maybe 2012 or 2013.
yes. @@IreallyDIDnotGIVEup
0:42 and 0:53 are really interesting variants. Being familiar with death chimes for over two decades, you'd think you heard 'em all!
At 1:18 my old PPC 5200/75LC used to only play the last four notes when there was something really wrong with it (except it didn't have the Sad Mac icon); it sounded identical to 1:42, but at normal speed. Also, it had TWO different death chimes (probably because of the fact that Apple shoved PPC stuff into a Quadra 68K-based LC logic board, which was a bad idea lol)
Fascinating
1:42 is hardware corrupt or firmware problems
@@footballuniverse4768 Right. Sometimes, it's caused by a leaky clock battery damaging the PCB
@@footballuniverse4768 Yep. That's hardware failure.
@@thepollchannel959 Also It can be triggered by removing the video card.
IIRC, the 128k's shuffling lines indicated the binary position being tested in memory.
Lord is finally back
The alternative variants for the Mac II were likely added in order to distinguish self-test errors from OS boot errors (the latter variant being for failures early on in the self-test sequence), just like how some Old World PPC Macs and newer 68k Macs have different or extended death chimes for self-test errors. I could be wrong though.
1:05 E-200 fake despawn sound origin
Thanks dude!
1:43
PowerBook from 1995: gotta go *slow*
1:32
another PowerBook from 1995: gotta go *F A S T*
1:43 when you open the doors to a forgotten game
0:33. The first code means reserved for macintosh compatibility.
Second code I believe corresponds to a CPU exception during boot, namely the "Line F/Line 1111" CPU exception. (before the System Software has a chance to load)
@@FairPlay137 Yep.
0:48 Windows 3.1 didn't care
1:32 max
1:43 8-bit
Thanks for collecting so many crash patterns, haha
1:05its really good
1:03 E-200 from interminable rooms despawn sound
2:22 man that chime was Annoying!😠🤯☹️🤨
The last computer almost sounds like it's starting some sort of orchestral piece before it starts crying and screaming.
0:30 In my country, a horse racing show used it to indicate that a participant got scratched.
wtf lol
I remember getting a sad Mac on a recent Mac (from like 2008) on a school computer. I was able to fix it tho.
Didn't happen, sad mac screens disappeared in the mid 90s.
8 Bits well it was some sort of error screen. This happened like 7 years ago so...
PowerBook 5300 reminds me of PS1’s fearful Harmony
Yes the fearful harmony from PS1 is also on PowerBook 5300 😉
@paulorbuenods really?
Users turned the modchipped laptop and get this error
1:43 Creepiness 8:10
1:05 OH GOSH E-200
0:54 Ta-da!!! Your macintosh has stopped and you are in Windows 3.1 now
(1:43) - It sounds like the Kyoobur Sun (by Kyoobur9000) played in a Macintosh PowerBook 5300cs.
imagine you hear this sound in 4:00 am when home alone
If I created my own MacBook, the crash chimes will be like:"NOPE"
1:42 sounds like fearful harmony on ps1
0F000A: F means an exception, A means Line 1111
2:12 I had no sad mac on my imac
No
LG G240 TUBE Because when the iMac came out they got rid of the sad mac
I know
Because it’s porblably newer
👁👄👁
That crash sound seems cheerful
The Macintosh II models
How it feels to have a cardiac arrest : 1:32
How it feels to have a heart attack : 1:43
How do you know this?
LC/Quadra death sounds:
1:05 Mac LC/Quadra Death Chime
1:18 LC/Quadra Death Chime - With Sad Mac
1:34 this creeps me out
E-200?
the last one means hardware failure
Why it's called Old World tho?
1:43 The Throw PowerBook at wall sound
Rip my ears so scary
0:43 Ringtone????
0:30 my brain in math
Useless explanation guess:
The mac was happy, the room is big, how big the room is would be how much happy you was,
But when it gets to a practically small room, the mac is pratically dead. Which means you’d prattically be frusterated.
I meant my brain dies in math
Before math my brain is fine but during math it decides to give up
what about the "DUN DUN DUNNN" sound?
1:42 Reminds me of "Sonic has passed" from one of Vinny's corruption streams
???
It’s a moment from a stream where the game music got slowed down
1:03 my favorite
how did you do that in MAME/MESS?
i also corrupted the rom with the vinesauce rom corruptor, that made the crash chimes work.
Macintosh: I don't feel so good
The last video is soo creepy...
My power is whistling to the death chime
Ummm whats that?
why are they so happy
1:33 why the laptop crash sound so fast
0:15 Hi Lil, Mac!

El Sad Mac no tiene cara triste 😭 sino cara muerta 😵
0:31 are nostalgic idk why
POV:The speed of the chime depends of the error code
* slap * * the startup/death sound *
The last one is a scary sound my dad is kinda scared on the sound

However you like this
all of these just feel terrifying to me I can't imagine booting up my computer and be greeted with a sad mac logo with a black background and the creepiest chime I've ever heard
TADA I CRASHED
