One example for #8: There was a near-twin of the Cheron Apocolypse. During the Xindi season, Enterprise was hijacked by a race that was in a holy war driven by the Sphere Builders. At the end - all life and buildings were dead. Just like Cheron.
Archer had taken the leaders of the warring factions to a planet they had discovered weeks prior to show them what happens if their differences weren’t settled and that’s when we saw a doomed world devoid of life.
This past Labor Day Weekend (sept 1, 2024) was strange knowing how we pretty much have Sanctuary Districts as shown in DS9 Past Tense. "The name's Bell. Gabriel Bell."
Noticed the same thing myself…he must’ve gotten confused with the broadcast order as “The Man Trap” WAS the first episode of TOS to air. However, those episodes were meant to be aired out of order and “The Man Trap” was actually the THIRD TOS episode produced, not counting “The Cage”… Honestly can’t believe Sean Ferrick let that oversight slip by…😳
I’m worried that Trek’s WW3 seems to keep upping the number of casualties. I believe in First Contact the deaths were like 60 million and SNW massively upped it. And I vaguely recall before FC the number was lower…
Almost tugged at my heart-strings (I have no heart/s) with "Yet. Another. Soong." since it seems like "they" have appeared more time than the Borg, even.
Or he was trying to make sure things played out as they did? (Sort of like Doctor Strange knowing out of 14+ million futures, only one was the right outcome.)
The thing that didn't work for Picard season 2 was the environment. There's literally planets like Risa that engineer the environment. So they could just clean up Earth that way. I get it was an environmentalist message but it just wasn't done believeably. It was a 10 hour episode so they should have worked something in there that instead of pollution they tried fix it and burned off earth's atmosphere or something and it looked like moon bases on a cratered surface.
True, but remember: in this altered timeline, none of the original events as we know them (Ent, Disco S1&2/SNW, ToS, TNG/DS9/Voy/LD/Prodigy/Picard S1) would've ever happened. It's like the Mirror Universe but worse. So they probably wouldn't have figured out about Risa, or worse, they probably would've found and eradicated Risa (and other similar places like Rigel VII and so on) during that timeline's version of the 23rd century.
Ah, one of my favorite nitpics on Trek: The Prophets not understanding linear time. That like saying we can't understand moving in a straight line because we live in three spatial dimensions.
My head canon is that Control did not conquer the Galaxy by itself. With the sphere data it must have learned about the Admonition and initiated Ganmadan.
Personally, I prefer Spock's analysis concerning the events on Omega IV, where he postulates that the inhabitants of this world fought the third world war that Earth had avoided....
Too bad they didn’t predict their own apocalypse; being completely destroyed by a talentless hack named Alex Kurtzman. Star Trek is dead, Kurtzman killed it. If you think differently, you are not a Star Trek fan.
Good thing you're not the arbiter of who is and isn't a Star Trek fan and we can safely dismiss your opinion and move on with our lives. Live long and prosper friend.
@ I would expect that from the kind of sewage that likes their own posts. Nobody else agrees with you so you’ll do the internet equivalent of sniffing your own fart. And that is EXACTLY the current audience of Star Trek.
@ it is also interesting that the viewing numbers agree with me, the critics agree with me, and the the actual fan of the franchise agree with me. Thank god that no one believes you.
You know you should really REALLY do a top 10 list of FAN Service for Star Trek Here is why I seen TV Shows and movies with RICH History franchise Like Star Wars Ghostbusters Lord of the Rings that sort of thing often or not they tend to force in Fan Service to please older fans of the franchise Some works others just seams so forced (Like Star Wars with there Rebels Cameos in the Mandolrian) SO I thought you should do a 10 ten HOW Star Trek Does FAN SERVICE Right Manly because I think personally Last Season of Picard is a Perfect example of Fan Service DONE RIGHT!
Pike's speech from Strange New Worlds Ep1 seems even more relevant today than it did two years ago
Yep...that is absolutely what's going to happen. Only difference is humans won't "wake up" after that, it'll just be the end of civilization.
All apocalypses are a pretty bad time.
But those Self-Annihilation Apocalypses are extra messed up.
Spock: Captain, the universe is safe.
Kirk: For you and me. But what of Lazarus? What of Lazarus?
Still a gut punch.
"How would it be? Trapped for all eternity with a raging madman at your throat?"
The way this video is titled makes it seem like Star Trek has ACCURATELY predicted when apocalypses have occured
The way things are going in the world I don’t think we are that far away from WW3
16:49 actually, Pike didn't say WWIII killed 30% of humanity, he said the conflict killed 30% of all Earth species.
A nice cheery video just in time for Christmas.
Happy Christmas ( War is over )
One apocalypse can ruin your whole day.

"The name's Bell. Gabriel Bell."
"We are cancelling the Apocalypse!"
Love your shirt.
The way things are looking, that 2026 prediction might not end up being off by much...
I really hope not.
The second pilot was ‘Where No Man Has Gone Before’ not ‘The Man Trap’.
Noticed the same thing myself…he must’ve gotten confused with the broadcast order as “The Man Trap” WAS the first episode of TOS to air. However, those episodes were meant to be aired out of order and “The Man Trap” was actually the THIRD TOS episode produced, not counting “The Cage”…

@ ‘The Man Trap’ was the 6th episode produced. ‘The Corbomite Maneuver’ was the third.
It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine. 🎶
I’m worried that Trek’s WW3 seems to keep upping the number of casualties. I believe in First Contact the deaths were like 60 million and SNW massively upped it. And I vaguely recall before FC the number was lower…
compared to the One Year war from the UC Timeline in Mobile Suit Gundam, WW3 in Star Trek is justa jok e. 5 billion death in just a few month of war
Riker: "600 million dead."
@@erikleorga Thank you. Though again it's way less than the number SNW posits.
Starling...Starlink...Coincidence?
Bit on the nose with the orange monster back in power but well done as always
Ho about the apocalypse that ended the race that created the 2 warring AI races in Voyager?
Love your shirt!!

what if archer is future man and he was trying to stop daniels from taking archer out of the timeline which caused the Temporal Cold War
Or he was trying to make sure things played out as they did? (Sort of like Doctor Strange knowing out of 14+ million futures, only one was the right outcome.)
Well, that was uplifting. Thanks

But Risa's climate control was invented by a Risan. If the humans of the Confederation killed the Risans, they would not have gotten that tech.

This was not what I needed after a few hours of playing Fallout. eh...
I think we live on the planet that becomes Omega IV, from the TOS episode The Omega Glory.
I’m glad these apocalyptic events are fictional, as we can work together to make the world a better place so those events wouldn’t happen for real.
14:27 Prodigy season 2 was Voyager's 3rd incursion.

#2's title reminds me of Ivanova in Babylon 5: "No boom today. But boom tomorrow. Always a boom."
Strange New Worlds episode 1 is prophetic. Maybe not as prophetic as some older series as it's only a couple years old, but still.
Prehistory of Star Trek, Altair IV in Forbidden Planet.

Thanks. 🖖🏻
Did someone explain the plot of Picard's first two seasons to you, because what was on the screen was a hot mess. Just sayin'...
I wasn't difficult to understand.
Was it bad? Yes. Was it difficult to understand? No, it wasn’t at all.
Which Soong was on "Night Court"?
Love your T-shirt. 😊 Do you have the TOS red shirt? All TOS security guards got killed one way or the other. 🤔🤨
to be fair Lor wasnt really 'evil' though
I never saw any Alpaca lips featured in Start Trek....
I don't wanna go through WW3 beforehand...
