That coil and detector combo found it deep😮

It was a dig and detect operation. We dig, remove material then detect and repeat until we are on the bedrock, then expand our holes. Sometimes we hit a good spot, sometimes we don't. That hole took exactly 2 hours to dig up to the point of extracting the nugget out of my hand. That hole only gave up 2 more tiny nuggets.

Yeah, I don't know anything about it myself. I can't speak for my buddy about it. I've never heard of such a thing. Maybe he is getting it confused with drawing out the gold from mercury amalgam inside of a potato. Who knows.
