    Hey Max!, thank so much for your videos. So I'm new to this, I never built anything out of wood but I want to build this power rack. I am having some doubts: I will have to buy the drills to make the holes on the wood. May you please tell me how much milimeters (or inches, whatever measurement system you use) have your drills?
    Or how much, in diameter do the holes in your power rack have?
    Thank you!

    What was the size of the bolt used? Also what was the size of the holes drilled?

    • @MaxSandberg
      @MaxSandberg  4 роки тому +1

      Angel Briones The holes are 34 millimeters. You want to find a bolt that has a 33 millimeter outside diameter that would be the best. I couldn’t find a bolt that big so I got one with a 24 millimeter outside diameter which fitted inside the pipe that has a 33 millimeter outside diameter. You can see it at 4:02. Hope this helped, thank for watching!

      Köpte två stycken 24mm bultar i någon järn butik i Västberga, minns tyvärr inte vad den hette. Stängerna är bara 33mm galvaniserade rör som jag sågade av för att ha i 33mm hålen i squatracken. Innerdiametern på rören tror jag var va 27-28mm så bultarna passade hyfsat bra. Precis som du hittade jag inget på Byggmax heller så det var den bästa lösningen jag kom på. Lycka till!

    I see lots of these being made with 4x4s. Anyone ever considered 6x6s?

    • @MaxSandberg
      @MaxSandberg  4 роки тому +1

      It worked out fine with 4x4s. It would work with 6x6s as well but I don't think 6x6s would work better than 4x4s therefore I'd use 4x4 as they are cheaper here in Sweden

    What's the max weight it could safely handle if you fail a squat or a bench press?

    • @MaxSandberg
      @MaxSandberg  4 роки тому +1

      It's holding up fantastic! I'm going to say that this rack will safely hold more than I'm ever going to squat. Assuming I won't be dropping the barbell from my back standing up. Then maybe 250kg I'm not sure.. and I'm not planning to test it haha
