What a great rendition of All of Me. A++! This was a really informative video. I love the way you compared/contrasted the two instruments. I really like the wood tone on the tenor. BTW, I know what you mean about the manufacturers tying the strings together. I've seen that before and I totally despise it. I'm not sure why they do that... but this video shows why you shouldn't. LOL. Great review overall.

Sounds great !! Just took up the uke after getting one for Christmas 2020 and loving my Kala tenor. I am thinking of getting a tenor banjolele at some point. This looks like a nice one ! Thanks for sharing.

Oh you are welcome and that’s great. Ukes are awesome. Also this is one of the few in this size that I have played. Most of the ones I have seen have been concert size.
Good Iuck and I would love it if you became a subscriber. :)

I'm impressed. It seems equal in quality to the Gold Tone Banjo Ukulele Tenor (BUT), at less than half the price.

Yes the more I play it the more I like it. In fact check my channel in a little while I'm adding a string stretching thing I do preceded by a song to show how nicely it's getting to stay in tune.
Thanks for watching and commenting. Hope you can subscribe :)

Nice comparison, thanks for posting. I just bought a Kmise concert 23" and though tuned right, has an awful 'flat' sound when I press on the strings.

You might want to change the strings to fluorocarbon and also check the intonation (use a tuner and see if the notes stay in tune up the fretboard. Each string should be pretty close to tune. Some difference won’t be too noticeable but way sharp or flat will. God luck

When you stretch strings during install you not only risk breaking one, but also it creates a tiny flat spot on the string where the nut and saddle make contact. This can affect intonation, tone, tuning, and string life longevity. Never intentionally stretch strings on a stringed instrument of any kind. Be patient, let the strings settle naturally. It'll sound best and last longer. The one exception is if playing live and you break a string you have no choice.

I appreciate your authority on the subject as you obviously play instruments and have an opinion.Howrver I have been stretching strings this way for over 40 years and have enjoyed playing an instrument that stays in tune much more quickly which is more conducive to keep on playing. The minute sound differences or string longevity (in my opinion ) have never bothered me. I have also been told this by every luthier and player i know. So thank you for the information but I will most likely continue to do this with my instruments esepcially those that I have to play on a video within minutes of receiving.
Please no feelings hurt or harsh retorts. I am just here to enjoy some music. I would like to stay positive. Thank you

No worries. Fluorocarbon and nylgut strings are a bit different than wound strings. Best of luck and thank you for this informative video.@@MariaCalfaDePaul
