I think that Nikolas and Gia have a deep love connection that no one can touch not even Emily. I wasn't even the least bit upset that Gia was late for her photo shoot because, I think that for five minutes Nikolas and Gia deserved some peace and not have everything be about Lucky and the Spencer family. I think that Nikolas has gone downhill and has been for years and his mother and Liz have always come across as too self absorbed to put him first and that hurt him even though he doesn't usually say anything. I think that Nikolas thought that he was supposed to be in love with Emily but, he just isn't in love with Emily like a power couple is and should be. For once Liz didn't get what she wants but, Nikolas did and was allowed to see what it feels like to be put first. I know that Spinelli will help Maxie once the truth about Peter is finally revealed but, I think that Trina and Gia are going to have to help Nikolas.
Nikolas has seemed like a lost man since Gia left. I think that part of the problem is that she is the only woman who challenges Nikolas to be the best person that he can be and she clearly loved him more than anything. Part of this scene reminded me of an old classic Luke and Laura scene.
Nik has really gone downhill. I feel like Gia's tough love is the only thing that could save him at this point, I really really do. She's the one who forced him to confront those uncomfortable feelings within himself and deal with them rather than let them fester into something darker.
@@nianikgia8432 I also think that Gia was the only person made him deal with his dysfunctional family and his place in his family and that she didn't let things fester and that she was the only person who forced him to discuss and face his fears. I think that it showed that Gia loved Nikolas more than anything because she's wants to help him and help him deal with his uncomfortable feelings. With Emily, it seemed as if he had no uncomfortable feelings about his family for the most part and they spent more time with her family than his. I also think that while Liz knew about his dysfunctional family she never makes him deal with his uncomfortable feelings unless it benefits her and that the writers made their relationship toxic. I think that Jonathan Jackson's Lucky Spencer is the only way that Liz will be written better and that things really went downhill for her since he's not there.
@@amusicfan25a21 Good point. It didn't help they got rid of Stefan and Laura either, which also left Nik's story kind of aimless. Liz and Emily were typical long suffering mealy-mouthed heroines you are used to seeing on soaps. I didn't hate them, but they never interested me. Gia was something different, more complicated, that's why I loved her.
@@nianikgia8432 The issue with Liz is that the writers really made her aimless too especially when Jonathan Jackson isn't there. She deserves to be given more to do but she seems to given the same kind of storyline over and over again. I like Emily but I think that overall that she was written like a stereotypical kind young woman with a heart who sadly dies young but she doesn't force Nikolas out of his comfort zone. Gia forced Nikolas out of his comfort zone and she never apologized for that and he loved her for that.
@@amusicfan25a21 They kept giving Nik the same story over and over again too after Gia. With Emily, Courtney and Liz it was the same thing, where he had to save the damsel in distress from a bad relationship. (Emily was with Zander, Courtney with Jax, Liz with Lucky etc.) Like you said Gia was different because she challenged him, it wasn't just him playing the knight and shining armor prince cliche.
Can GH bring back Coltin Scott as Nikolas, and Marisa too. If that were to ever happen I would be over the moon. A girl can dream. Lol
