I stayed here and honestly need to rank it #1 (and I've stayed at 4-stars in 12 countries.) Understated is how peaceful the place is, how sparsely populated the incredible bay beach is and how wonderful the village is.

If I stay at the Maui FS, is it really worth the trip to go to Lanai FS as well? I mean, the Maui FS kinda has it all, the only thing about Lanai is it seems quieter...?

It depends on personal preference; some of our clients love FS Maui best and go back year after year, while others are after a much smaller, quieter island, which Lanai is (3000 population vs. Maui's ~167,000) and prefer the low-rise nature of the resort instead of the high-rise of FS Maui. The FS Lanai has also had more put into the interior finishes (more modern bathrooms, with rain showers, Toto toilets at FS Lanai, older bathrooms at FS Maui) and offers Nobu's Japanese cuisine vs. the Italian cuisine (Spago, Ferraro's) of FS Maui. We also preferred the breakfast at FS Lanai to the one at FS Maui, and enjoyed trying horseback riding on Lanai.

I highly recommend Lanai not only for the FS but the island in general. It's surprisingly diverse and each quad of the island has a totally unique feel. If you venture to the far side of the islands as we did, we were the only ones on the beach as far as the eye could see in either direction. There's also a unique almost Mars-like landscape, very ancient temple and shipwreck. The villagers are lovely and there are some excellent eateries in the village center. For me I prefer peace, quite and relative isolation and Lanai is highly preferred.
