    I miss the pine trees I grew up around. Where I live in Texas, pine trees don't grow too well. Thanks for sharing.

    Will they live with the roots bare like that? Should you be pruning the tops a bit? Just stuff I have always heard I am wanting to do the same thing you are here.

      Yes! Probably good to cut them back some. I didn't in this video, but I should have!

    Those white pines grow like weeds. When you transplant try trimming some of the limbs back a little. It will make the roots fight harder to grow out. Everything is looking great bud 🤘.

    My pines always die when I've replanted them... My uncle said you can't have any air pockets in the soil, regardless mine always have died ... I've replanted others that lived. How are yours doing now??? How often do you water?

    • @CopperheadRoadHomestead
      @CopperheadRoadHomestead  3 роки тому +3

      I got about half success rate. I don't water at all. Just let it get rained on. I might try again to replace the dead ones before it gets too warm...I might just wait until this fall to do it.

    So if you plant them in a square just think you will have a pen to keep goats or pigs in

    Nice hat! You need to do some ice fishing in that hat. Can you keep the trees bushy lower to ground? Or will they eventually get tall and stringy. I had no idea they’d come out so easy. I’m going to have to try this.... Right Now!

    • @CopperheadRoadHomestead
      @CopperheadRoadHomestead  3 роки тому +1

      I think you can...but I have never tried it. Yes...super easy to remove and transplant...especially when thy are small. You know any good ice fishing spots round here? Ha! Did you do it?

      @@CopperheadRoadHomestead No ice fishing possibilities🙁 I did locate a few trees along the street near our house. I’m not sure where I would plant yet.

    That’s to close to the property line, the neighbors can have all those trees messed up and can chop any growing roots or branches on their property if they do start going that way

    really liked this video. i love pine trees, but how the heck did you dig them up so easily? every time i've tried, they have such long tap roots, don't they? what was my problem?
