In my single college days I went to the woods and pulled a small palm pine tree out of the ground planted it in a pot and it was my Christmas tree for about 4 years
Will they live with the roots bare like that? Should you be pruning the tops a bit? Just stuff I have always heard I am wanting to do the same thing you are here.
Those white pines grow like weeds. When you transplant try trimming some of the limbs back a little. It will make the roots fight harder to grow out. Everything is looking great bud 🤘.
My pines always die when I've replanted them... My uncle said you can't have any air pockets in the soil, regardless mine always have died ... I've replanted others that lived. How are yours doing now??? How often do you water?
I got about half success rate. I don't water at all. Just let it get rained on. I might try again to replace the dead ones before it gets too warm...I might just wait until this fall to do it.
Nice hat! You need to do some ice fishing in that hat. Can you keep the trees bushy lower to ground? Or will they eventually get tall and stringy. I had no idea they’d come out so easy. I’m going to have to try this.... Right Now!
I think you can...but I have never tried it. Yes...super easy to remove and transplant...especially when thy are small. You know any good ice fishing spots round here? Ha! Did you do it?
@@CopperheadRoadHomestead No ice fishing possibilities🙁 I did locate a few trees along the street near our house. I’m not sure where I would plant yet.
It rained a bit last night and I haven't looked today. I will make sure to include a pond update (or make it the complete video) for Saturday! Thank you, my friend!
That’s to close to the property line, the neighbors can have all those trees messed up and can chop any growing roots or branches on their property if they do start going that way
really liked this video. i love pine trees, but how the heck did you dig them up so easily? every time i've tried, they have such long tap roots, don't they? what was my problem?

It died after that? Couldn't stand the humiliation from the other Christmas trees?
Lol this made me laugh
Pine trees are cool
They have some good uses! I can't wait for them to grow big and tall!
I appreciate this. I just had a forest fire devastate my 20 acres in Eastern Washington. I was looking for this exactly! Thanks.
Glad to help! Thanks for watching!

Yes! Probably good to cut them back some. I didn't in this video, but I should have!
Poor Papa! Now he’s got more pine trees to cut!
Ha! He better not cut these...I will be after him!

So if you plant them in a square just think you will have a pen to keep goats or pigs in
Ha! I am gonna try something soon with a living fence...I hope it works!
They are growing machines soon they will be 4,000 feet tall oh wait that's your count. Congrats 👏
Those would be tall trees! Ha! Nearly there!
That's a mighty fine side by side but did they take the name from the nextflix show; KobraKia?
Ha! It was a UA-cam show first, right? I have never watched it. You?
Good luck on those. They should do well. I will give you a BUNCH of them if you want them. 😂
I have plenty around here! Ha!

Is the pond full yet? Can you do a walk around of it?

Yep. That’s okay. These are mainly for a hedge anyway.
All I heard in the intro was Model BB-8-WD-40 😆
Ha! Did you like that?
Stay thirsty my pine tree friends
Ha! Gulp gulp!

Maybe you dug up some that were bigger than these? I just cut through the big tap roots on mine.
🤠👍
:)
First?😜
There were a couple that were pending...you weren't first. Maybe next time! Ha!
U talk a lot.
Only on camera. Off camera, I’m a man of few words. Seriously!
