We have them in Australia where the servers have to have the "pieces of flare" and a stereotypical American server attitude. They're not American, they just have to act. I think possibly Outback Steakhouse has an expected stereotypical Australian element to their servers, even though they aren't Australian?

In this case, she thinks that this completely standard, sightly geordie, nanny is a dangerous animal who's going to kill her... just because she's not posh!
