I am also not a huge fan of mayo, so love that there's an option to remove it at McDonalds (I don't think you removed it for the bulgogi burger). The last time I went to a McDonald's in Korea, it was a rainy day and there was nothing else to eat around the hotel because I got in late- I have to say it was okay- the fries could have been more fresh. I also miss the snack wraps, they need to bring that back in the states. But glad to see that you enjoyed your experience at McDonald's in Korea!

Seems like all the mcdonald's overseas and Canada are better than the ones in the states. Hong Kong, Hawaii, Vancouver/Whistler, etc.
I recently visited a McDonald’s in the Philippines that I had to go through a long line to get to the counter to order where they told me they didn’t have burgers. It would be like going to DQ and have them tell you they didn’t have ice cream. Well I walked out and went to another one.
Oddly nobody there goes for burgers. They eat there for the fried chicken

McDonald's in portugal is the best I've ever tasted but the korean one looks amazing. Here in Ireland the McDonald's is nothing special at all.

It's cheaper to order McDonald's as a set. You can swap fries for mozzarella cheese stick choose your drink as McFizz. The lunch time menu is especially cheaper

So what brought you back to Korea? Are you a world traveler or did you go for work?
I went to a McDonalds near my hotel when i was there and I hard time getting out of my comfort zone when it comes to eating, so I got the chicken nuggets, fries, and a sprite 😂 I'm a picky eater. But they tasted great. I don't think the one I went in had a thing for you to order on. It probably did but I went straight to order at the counter. I struggled to communicate with them at first and it was crowded and fast paced but I was able to get my food! :)
Thailand McD’s is ok but Korea and Vietnam are better. Just ketchup alone in Vietnam makes it one of the best McD’s in the world.

No doubt about it. Korean Don's is the absolute best! The workers are so thoughtful and take pride in their work. And, the French Fries are way better in Korea than the US.
McDonald's in Korea is on a different level and it's a shame they don't have such items here in the US! My absolute favorite was shrimp beef burger and it's a must try!!
I want to go to Korea just to eat at McDonalds now...

Mcdonalds overseas is FAR better than Mcdonalds in the USA. No doubt... I don't eat burgers in the USA, only IN-n-Out.. Most American burgers look like they've been squished and sat on.. Unless you pay $25 for a fancy burger...
Let's be specific. McDonald's in East Asia is, not the entire world bar America. Maccas standards is also pretty crap here in Australia in comparison. Service expectations are on another level in countries like Korea, Japan and Taiwan which has both it's pros and cons.

I stopped going to McDonald’s for the simple fact they took away chicken selects and snack wraps. And obviously because it’s now as expensive as a normal restaurant, but seriously, chicken selects were the best

It seems like the McDonalds in other countries offer more than the US.
Basic calculating, USD $1 = 1,000 won by standard. Current currency rating won is 30% cheap than USD. So approx. 1,000w= $0.7 and $1 = 1,300w or over.

The wrap is good, especially the bacon. Not a fan of the bulgogi wrap as it's too sweet and the patty lacks any texture. Zane, did you notice: no Filet-O-Fish. In my travels, no FOF in Korea nor Mexico. We had FOF for about two years after the new Head of McD Korea started but no more...so sad...
