When he was in high school he was top 20 in the nation for Lincoln Douglas Debate. My eggs were old, but that didn't stop him 😂 So happy for you guys!🎉❤

There are obviously perks of having kids young (more energy, maybe be a younger grand parent), but also SO many perks to having them later as well. I feel so much more *ready* and patient/knowledgeable than i ever would've in ny 20s. You're going to be an amazing mom!!!

I had my first and only child at 42. Hes 12 now. The preg went very smooth. Delivery was 2 weeks early with some high bp at the last checkup and they decided to admit me on a Friday and Monday he was born. In hindsight I think they waited too long. Should've delivered Sat. They induced Friday and csec on Monday. In LA they don't seem panicked by a geriatric delivery. I think they are too casual sometimes. If you have any swelling especially feet go in and get checked. 🙏

I will be 45 years old next month and I have three children, my oldest is 22 and my youngest is 19. On those “mother jeans” it was a very basic sewing machine gather that would have been super easy to undo with a seam ripper - definitely worth the $20 - a steal really 😊

We tried for 10 years and then a situation came up where we had the opportunity to adopt 2 baby boys when I was 35 and my husband was 38. OMG CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I was a hard-core never ever having babies kind of gal my whole life then I married my soul mate and now we are having baby #2. That transition is hard not gonna lie but totally worth it. I work in the medical field and went totally against the system and had an all natural water birth at a private non hospital birth center. This season is about listening to your heart and doing what is best for you and surrounding yourself with positive stories and influence. Wishing you the best of luck! 😘
Oh Courtney! I'm so happy for you and Robert. I had my sons at 29 and twins at 32, which WAS considered "old" in the 1970s. I nursed them all, never owned a bottle, never owned a pacifier. Mt closest friend had her children at 38 and 42. Everyone was fine, both Moms and babies! Don't let anyone bring you down... what a very lucky child! So happy for EVERYone! Many Congratulations!
I had my daughter the day before I turned 39. No real issues other than blood pressure (which can happen to anyone) so my midwife encouraged a c-section to avoid laboring. We had a beautiful 9.5lb healthy baby. I recovered just fine. Best thing my husband and I ever did. We have been kept young by our now 14 year old!
Congratulations! So excited for you. I had my last baby at 1 month from 40. Council thrift is hit or miss for me. I’ve gotten a few amazing things there- but not enough to keep me going back. My fav goodwill in that area is 6343 San Fernando - not sure if that’s where you went- a bit pricier at times but can find great things even if just for myself there. Have you ever tried valley value center in valley village? I love that one- crowded but tons of stuff.
So excited to hear your good news Courtney! My best friend had her first and only child at 39 years of age (her husband was 54). Baby was healthy and is now 24, attending Boston U for her masters. It was a very fun time for us both, my oldest Grandchild is 1 year older, and being as they are both girls we built many memories. I was 41 when she was born, so many people in public thought she was my daughter. You will love being a Mom. My girlfriend did continue on in her career in healthcare and will be retiring in a few years.

I had my last child at 42, six children total, all healthy, My oldest daughter had her one and only child at 42, one by choice, she also waited before deciding to have a child, also very healthy, she is an elementary teacher, her husband is a collage professor and they do pretty well dividing the parental duties and household chores. Raising a child will certainly be challenging, but I believe one of best things ever!

I was healthy and it was a lovely pregnancy. He was very healthy too. I gave birth at home with no medication and he came very quickly. It was a better experience than my hospital birth at age 30 with a pitocin drip and subsequent epidural. I’m not suggesting you need to do this but just illustrating that it all worked out. My recovery was easy too. Granted, I was healthy and exercised safely and regularly all through the pregnancy. I’m happy for you and Robert! Is your Mom so excited???

I had a couple babies at 27 and 28 years old and then when I was 37 I had a third baby. I wanted another one and I didn’t really think about how old I was. He is now 15 my youngest. And I am 52 years oldwith a kid still in high school. But to be honest, I absolutely love it. My older two kids are married and I do have a grandson.
So happy for you!!!!! I was 31,32 and 37 when I had my kids (which seems young to me but old to my doctors 😕) With my last pregnancy I decided to try and find moms closer to my age having babies for the first time so that we could relate. I would have loved a channel like you plan on doing with content for moms who started later. Finding some moms closer to your age will help when they become teens and perimenopause hits 😂. Congrats on this journey. You will soon meet the person that will forever change you in ways you cannot expect. The amount of love you will feel can’t fit in this universe.
I used to love going to It's a Wrap but their prices have gotten out of control. Plus at that store you have to be extra diligent to check every aspect of an item. Wardrobe departments tailor/hem/modify items regularly but also do annoying things like cut the pockets out of pants (so there aren't lines on camera).
Awesome on your pregnancy! I had my reo and 35 and 37. Looking Back, don't think I would have done it younger. I stayed at home more, worked, and it was a good time for me.

So happy for you!!!!! I was 31,32 and 37 when I had my kids (which seems young to me but old to my doctors 😕) With my last pregnancy I decided to try and find moms closer to my age having babies for the first time so that we could relate. I would have loved a channel like you plan on doing with content for moms who started later. Finding some moms closer to your age will help when they become teens and perimenopause hits 😂. Congrats on this journey. You will soon meet the person that will forever change you in ways you cannot expect. The amount of love you will feel can’t fit in this universe.

I used to love going to It's a Wrap but their prices have gotten out of control. Plus at that store you have to be extra diligent to check every aspect of an item. Wardrobe departments tailor/hem/modify items regularly but also do annoying things like cut the pockets out of pants (so there aren't lines on camera).
Awesome on your pregnancy! I had my reo and 35 and 37. Looking Back, don't think I would have done it younger. I stayed at home more, worked, and it was a good time for me.
