As a Blue fan for over two decades, I have to be honest and say that I really can't connect to the vibe that has surrounded BO for the past 5 years. BO was my soundtrack through a LOT of personal shit, just like dozens of fellow BO fans. I LOVE that Justin has found sobriety and his personal growth but the thing I feel is missing is the authenticity of the music. This live version of this song is one big example of what I'm talking about. This song is a deep and dark song. It isn't a fun, bee-bopping song. The way Justin performs this song distracts me from the song. It doesn't compliment it. It waters it down. I can't help but feel 'arrogance' has replaced authenticity. I saw them in Indy,,, maybe it was 2015 and they ripped my heart out playing this tune. Justin grabbed you with the passion and rage in his vocal performance as well as the way he commanded the stage. It wasn't bubble gum; it was a closed fist held up as he explained that this song was about looking into the mirror at yourself and discovering that YOU are the problem and the only one that can solve your own issues. And the FUCK YOU was about you, yourself. Justin and BO had a way, through their music, making me want to look at myself with the intention of change. And the beauty of grace - for yourself and for others. 'I Hope You're Happy' was such a GREAT record. Pure. Raw. Everything since has felt generic and artificial. I want SO bad to like everything they do. I just can't 'love' what they are doing right now!
Justin is a self professed Cure fan ❤ where I really hear the cures influence is on the song the way i used to love you, the composition is similar to apart check it out

Ya the cure sang this song 30 years ago
It was written and released in 2013 by Justin Furstenfeld on the Blue October "Sway" album

Is this the guy who try’s to sound like a mix between Korn and post Malone with just a dj or a band
Blue has been around longer than Post Malone. And they sound nothing like korn or PM (I am a fan of both)
