Ashlyn Harris is such a natural interviewer. Someone needs to give her a talk show/podcast ASAP!!

Bless! Bless for uploading the interviews! It’s such a fantastic insight as to how these women go through their day to day life and balancing personal/work/business/branding life. The topic of motherhood and mental health was one that will stay with me. Mixing all these athletes but seeing each of them having similar issues amongst each sport. Issues surrounding how minimal support there is within their league... when there can be so much more. Hearing how the people in charge of their sport don’t want to care for the women who are mothers! That’s bullshit! Most basic needs are barely being provided properly. In terms of “perks” it’s handed out to the men in an influx without a second thought. Dang these women are badass for dealing with a different type of stress that men won’t understand.

i have watched this multiple times but the thing that always bugs me is Ashlyn talking about Serena's ranking dropping because she had a kid. Rankings in tennis isn't people in a room saying this person is better than this person, but this person is the bet. It is decided by points, if you win a game in a major tournament you kept x amount of points, and if you win a game in a smaller tournament you'll get points but not as many and you get more points for winning later rounds of tournament compared to the first round, so if you aren't playing you don't have as many points as those playing in tournaments. It has nothing to do with her being pregnant and everything to do with her not playing. It happens in men's tennis, like every time Nadal was injured he dropped in the rankings

They could have had some actual elite soccer players on here. I mean I guess Krieger has actually been a starter on the USWNT and played a bit in the World Cup, but Ashlyn Harris literally never plays on the national team. Sitting on the bench the whole World Cup, she's as much a World Cup champion as I am sitting on my couch.

Jesus what the hell? In football there is the #1 and unless they're injured, that's who plays. The backups have their role in training and are ready to step in at a moment's notice. Either you don't know anything about the sport or you're just a hater. Lighten up.

What you said speaks volumes to what this entire conversation is about. The “elite” deserve the spotlights and the other players should just ride the wave. No. How is one person speaking up going to make change. It’s going to take a lot more than just player to get the balls rolling.
11 people play on the field at a time she even mentioned on the other video of how she played behind hope solo when she first got on the national team. She understands that her position at the time wasn’t “elite” but do you honestly think these “elite” players want to jeopardize their careers to speak out. They would be quick to lose out on many things.
