The funny thing is, I can't think of a professionally published video game having an ending THIS catastrophic. At some point, one of the executive producers (aka the people who fund the project) would go, "Uh, listen, I know you have a really clear artistic vision ... but if the main character has to go this direction, *could you at least tone it done just SLIGHTLY???* "
“For his parents it’s just another example of how well he’s doing.” I have never heard a more ominous and foreboding sentence spoken in my entire life.
Ironic that Chris gets his start from Sonic Sez, the most well known bit from it being their awkward bad touch psa, aka "that's NO GOOD". Should have listened to Sonic, Chris.
Its upsetting how he turned out. He seemed like such a nice kid right there. I wish he got proper help in the past. It’s pretty heartbreaking to see a child go from innocent to a vile and horrid human being throughout the years.
I'm not going to put the entire blame on his parents but I heard they didn't do that well with him. Therapy and medications would've helped tremendously and maybe he wouldn't have gone down the path he is at right now.
I wish the internet could've helped... I wish that maybe if most of the people didn't just feed into his delusions, maybe chris could've gotten help so so much sooner... He's such a disgusting human being but I feel so much fucking pity for this guy. It's shit. This whole thing is some surreal fucked up horror movie shit.
To be fair it's a sign that Chris was taking an initiative in his life, pursuing his own goals without relying on his parents. But giving an autistic child, someone who must be watched for obsessive behaviors, $1000 worth of video games to play non stop, was a horrible idea in hindsight. All this did, probably, was instill a gaming addiction in the young mind of cwc
Honestly this began a slippery slope for Chris. He'd constantly enter radio contests believing that he deserves to win. It's the same reason why he cried after not getting special praise at graduation
Just like how Swayzak says "I always win!" in Trapped in Hyperspace, albeit even Swayzak changed (in my headcanon) because of his well-rounded upbringing.
It's sad coming back and watching this video knowing how Chris turned out. One day he's in gamestop collecting prizes from a contest, the next day he's yelling "DON'T CALL ANYBODY!" and macing their employees.
This video shattered my heart level down to 15%. A friend of mine when I was a teenager used to ween on this guy, and it was just trolling some weird dude back then for me. A couple years back (around the time of him storming the gates at GameStop) I decided to do some research into Christory. The story of his life is one of the most compelling tales of the digital age, but it's so saddening.
This guy was basically raised by trolls. Bella was the last and worst of a long line. I hope your friend regrets his part in all this, as the early trolls laid the groundwork for her to push Chris over the edge, as she did to many others.
Gentlemen, I vow that when time travel is possible, I'll go back to 1994 and set this young man on the right path and prevent this horrible future from ever happening. Who's with me?
good luck his parents moved state because a school wanted to help chris they dont listen to reason they just wanted him to be seen as special and good without him actually being either.

I feel like Chris Chan is the real life version of a video game character we all made the wrong choices on and we got not just the bad ending, but THE bad ending.

Dear lord.
To be fair it's a sign that Chris was taking an initiative in his life, pursuing his own goals without relying on his parents. But giving an autistic child, someone who must be watched for obsessive behaviors, $1000 worth of video games to play non stop, was a horrible idea in hindsight.
