He’s changed a few guitar parts slightly over time but not a much,which as a musician playing live usually happens when you’re primarily the main guitarist who has then also become the lead singer, when you’re performing live singing the lead vocals and playing lead guitar parts and rhythm guitar parts and changing guitar effects with your feet, remembering lyrics, guitar parts, singing in tune, playing in time, listening to the other musicians your playing with as well as being the frontman live you have to put on a show and have a good character and stage presence t entertain the audience. So you’re doing at least 10 things at the same time,so you tend to change the odd bits of performance and arrangements occasionally to make thugs a bit easier for yourself, but he’s not struggling in the slightest and changed very little. All totally different to a lead singer who just sings or might also play a little bit of basic rhythm guitar as well just strumming a few basic chords and you have other musicians in your band who play the lead guitar parts. For me whenever he plays this live it’s shit hot and is an excellent rework of the original version and is now a brilliant guitar/vocal guitar pop tune. Originally he was never a vocalist especially a lead singer, he was principally a guitarist who over the years has also become lead vocalist as well, much harder than being just a guitarist ora vocalist. They are his actual words to me a few years ago when we jammed it together at his home studio cos I’m also a guitarist who ended up being lead singer as well as main guitarist, which isn’t that easy playing in tune and time and remembering everything that goes into a song and performance and sound good. Multitasking to the max mate. Maybe you also are a musician who does a similar role, if not you should give it a try and a how well you’d get on.
