I agree with the comments about putting water on it before rolling it,you don’t want it to cool before compaction, and the walk behind roller was completely unnecessary, just roll it with the big roller and don’t wait until the whole job is complete to roll it,that’s why the seems didn’t roll out, that and the fact they didn’t try to lute the seems

I agree the walk behind roller was a waste of time but the water actually makes it roll much better ...... but I would have started on the left and made the last pull go all the way to the road and I would have started each pull by dumping some asphalt from the paver gates not the truck

Thanks! 👍 I don't run that business I hired them to do my driveway. I thought the finished job was great.

Laying the tarmac. Really good! But to keep it tidier the roller driver should close in all the coldest parts first then concentrate on finishing with the roller, also no water on the tarmac untill its been closed youl leave a lot of open patches after its finished! Tidy work

@@timelapseprojects12 yeah so always close the open part first where the machine has screeded it nearly done so concentrate on the open and cold parts with a little roller with hardly no water just so the drums are wet! This keeps that tar warmer for longer giving you more time for the tidying up with the big roller with plenty of water

When did you come back to do the top layer? Not bad for putting binder down

Big no no watering the asphalt before its even been sealed up . That creates a temperature disparity from the surface to the core which can result in unproper compaction and cracking.

Thanks for watching. I'm no expert in paving so I can't comment on the process.

What the hell is up with the walk behind rollers? I've been paving my whole life, and that was the most pointless thing I've ever seen. Total waste of labor energy.

I'm not in this business but they were paving my driveway and I enjoyed watching them. I can't comment on the process but the end result was nice! Thanks for watching!

Nothing like letting your map cool for at least an hour or two before you even put a roller on it. SMH
