HOW TO BUILD "FULL CIRCLE" DIORAMA 1/144 Scale Tanks

  • Bought a dirt cheap 1/144 Scale Tanks, 4 Mnii Tanks in all. My interpretation of a WW2 German Tank’s Life Cycle, Phases or stages from PRODUCTION, INVASION, EXPANSION (Liebenstraum) to DESTRUCTION.
It is a 4 in 1 Diorama if you will, a space saver too. I am still looking for the right tool or material to make flawless circular cuts for oblique windows.
Hope you will enjoy this build as much as I did. Cheers.

Hi Robert H. I know somehow you have this hidden talent waiting to be unleashed. I am sure you can produce masterpieces too. Hard or difficult is just a frame of mind, better pop one of your stashed kits there and just build to enjoy. :) Cheers Robert H. mate.

Hi Joe. Glad you like the story of the visuals being told. I am my own critic and i say the building windows specially cutting it smoothly need more work. I should have used the airbrush for the tiger 1 tank camo stripes but was afraid my airbrush .30mm wouldnt give me the thinnest lines. Apologies for the messed up Tiger 1 Camo and Panther paint job. On to the next anyways. Thanks for the support Joe. see you again hopefully.

Hey Michael hope all is well with you. Gosh thanks for the kind words. I appreciate your dropping by always. I am so glad you like today's build. I somehow was criticizing myself as i thought i needed a better cutting tool to have those windows have a smooth curve cut. And yes i struggled with painting the rubber on the tank's road wheels too. :) I am still trying to improve as i go on. Thanks again Michael mate.

@@IvanTheTerrible911 Hi buddy, here's my experience with cutting Sintra. SHARP Blade. Good cutting mat that won't make the blade dig in. Trace the cut and trace and trace. It may take a while but the cuts are pretty clean. Curves can be tricky. Use a guide or template if you have one. It will help keep the curve consistent as you trace the cuts. I wish you all the best and again that is a class diorama. Very inventive set up of models. I may have to do it too. You have given me a nice vision of what can be done simply. See you soon

Hello Allan. Thank you so much. Not my best really as the window cuts were not as neat and clean. Ive been scratching my head and banging on the wall (fig of speech) as to the right tool or technique to cut sintra flawlessly. I did change the blade of the hobby knife to a new one though but...plus it is really difficult to paint small tiger wheels. Not a perfect circle as i want them to be. shucks. I will try to improve on it and seek tips from others. Id be glad if you can share your wisdom too. Thanks Alan.

Interesting concept and well executed, ITT. Always astounding how you use very basic materials to conjure up excellent vignettes which tell a story. I look forward to your builds and usually find something new to lock away in the vault for my future builds. As always, a pleasure to watch.

This is an especially clever, intriguing means to dramatise an unusual exercise. This, and others of your builds, are truly educational as to how to blend excellent detailing and situational context.
You have another display about which I wish to learn further

Hello Neil. How are you my friend? Haha i actually don't know how to do a Patreon plus i also consider myself as not a professional builder like the other cool UA-camrs. I see imperfections still in my work. But rest assured Neil just pm me if you have questions and id be more than glad to answer them. Hopefully i get to see one of your builds too.

Hello David. Glad ur back at home. Thank you for always dropping by. I appreciate the support. Reviewing back what i did here, i am still looking for a nice cutter or tool or a way to improve slicing through the Sintra with an almost flawless cut. Specially the curves without somehow making a mess of the shape. If you have any bright ideas or suggestions id be more than glad to hear them. Thanks again David. Cheers mate.

Hello Mate. Aww thank you so so much. Appreciate the kind words my friend. i was so embarrassed with the way i cut the windows and the tiger tank camo. I should have used an airbrush rather than hand paint it. Not great on close up haha. Sincerely, i appreciate your always dropping by. Cheers.
