I'm very curious about preganancy/birthing courses, workshops etc they offer where you are. And if you plan on following any?
Maybe decide on names by exposing yourself to hearing it regularly? For example, I named my cat Koda after putting myself through the test of watching Brother Bear haha where his name got mentioned A LOT. If you still like it after those tests, it might be the one! Bet any name you two come up with will be lovely!
All I can say is choose a name that will sound good when he's an adult.
Yes! Think of each stage of life and if it'll suit. Some people give names that would be embarrassing to have as a teen, adult or elderly lol
Taylor, please please please don’t be afraid to take maternity leave. We love you and your content and I’m sure there’s huge internal and external pressure to document as much of your pregnancy as possible but you and babies health are the most important thing!
Especially when the babys coming there's going to be a sleep schedule to adjust to as he ages. From 2hrs to the 8 normal hours
Mama's need to take leave after birth and with the feedings and lack of sleep time off is a must also to adjust and connect as a family its so important.

Advice for stuff I wish I'd known before I had my daughter.
Whether you are nursing or pumping or bottle feeding or a combo get a rolling cart. Just a small one. Keep all your supplies on it. Keep a bottle of water, keep a snack. Keep wipes etc. This is great to have ready just in case of c-section as well.
This is going to sound weird but with nursing and pumping wash up after even if it's just a washcloth someone can bring you and then dry yourself. Thrush is no joke. It is a kind of pain that will make you cry.
Look at pictures of your baby while you pump, it helps 😊
Take care of your back after birth. With carrying baby during pregnancy, labor pressure, then carrying baby after its punishment on your spine.
If you want to nurse and have trouble find a nursing group. Find a lactation specialist. There are ways to help. Lean on support. Those ladies and nurses legitimately saved my life.
Do not hesitate to talk to psych services. If you feel overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, angry. It is normal and doctors can help!
It's OK to complain btw. It's OK to grow in love with your little one. You are just getting to know each other in this world! You don't love your squishy baby any less. The first 3 months is super ultra exhausting. You can do it. Ask for help if you need it. ❤️
I have a two year old and I'm 34 weeks with no 2. Your advice is spot on!! 👍
Definitely take care of that mental health! If you don’t take care of yourself you can’t take care of a little human being. I’m suffering from PPD and I swear medications made me do a complete 360. Take care of yourself ladies.

i also thought it was cool and wanted to comment haha! i didn't already know about it and don't live anywhere near that kind of city so it was really cool to see! i'm honestly always so amazed at the things some people find normal and boring since where i live there is almost never anything remotely close to as interesting as these things haha!
Loewe is a really interesting choice. In German oe became ö so that he would be called Löwe what means lion (also can spell it with oe when you do a crossword). Wishing you and your lovely family all the best no matter the name ^^

I couldn’t imagine checking up on trends and picking my outfits accordingly. That definitely has to be the model/fashion lover in you. Me: browses any clothing shop, hey I like that! Adds to cart. End of thought process lol.

Feeling and questioning whether you are ready to be a mother is totally normal, everyone questions it because it can be very scary. But from the point of view from your viewers, you are ready, you are meant to be a mother, and will be a fantastic one. The love you and Tom have for this baby and how hard you fought to have this life shows how ready you are. Remember that no parent is ever ready to be a parent till they become parents. It’s a part of life that you can never truly be prepared for, it’s a whole new human, you don’t know how they will be or the challenges you will face. All you can do is love your child and be there with you husband to teach them what you know and learn from them. If anyone deserves to be a mother it’s you. You’ve got this so don’t doubt yourself!

Honestly, sometimes it’s the name that reveals itself. My husband was supposed to be a George, but his father took one look and said “ that’s definitely a David “ and I couldn’t imagine him being anything else 🥰
I'm the third of thee kids and the only unplanned one so our parents had no baby name ideas anymore. They just let my older siblings decide and my brothers pick was chosen. He wasn't even 6 yet. So asking other people for some ideas is also an option. Only if those people aren't the type that then demands you choose their name.
I was going to be Hillary but my dad hated it. He asked me what I should be named and my responding cry sounded like the name "Anne" so that's what i was called 🤣.
Are you allowed to wait a while to name your baby like if your wanna wait till they have formed a personality like wait till 2 or 3 yo?

My parents had chosen the name Zachary Nathaniel for my little brother prior to his birth, but five-year-old me met him for the first time and said, "Nope, that's backwards." He wasn't a Zach, he was and is a Nathan, and he's always said that I made the right call.

My ond advice. Is to meal prep. You will be so exhausted and tired that it would be good to have pre-made meals that you just have to warm up. I didn't do it and it was a huge mistake if I ever have another kid I'm definitely going to meal prep
I've done it with my first two kids and it was a life saver. Now I'm 4 months and 1 week along with my third and I need to start planning for freezing meals again soon. Very good advice!

It’s weird they don’t want you to have “the stress of renovations” but having to uproot your life and move to a new apartment for a month or two at the end of your pregnancy isn’t stressful at all! (Note the sarcasm)
I moved house when I was 7 months pregnant and then moved house again with a 4 month old. Trust me, so much easier to move than to get closed off from a part of your apartment.

Im going to guess that it was more leaning towards chemicals and airborne particles that could be harmful when inhale. In the past things weren't made with that (lead paper walls, ect)
Also the rule that you're not allowed to renovate until your 7 months pregnant, its crazy! There's a chance the baby is gonna be born early but she doesn't even have ANY baby stuff yet because she can't even get into her house. I would be soo stressed out right now and not care about that superstition at all
Yeah I would never be able to start renovations so late or accept not going in my own house to see the progress 😅 I have way too much anxiety to deal with all that
Taylor! My boyfriend introduced me to wax earplugs, they block out all the noise and are super great to sleep and nap with as opposed to sound cancelling headphones. May be worth picking some up!Amazing video as always!

Before I used to think it's like something old people would use but they are really comfy (once the wax has become warm) and do block a lot of noise.
My ENT doc advised against these as they can promote bacterial growth in the ear canal. ):

I'm not into colorful outfits so everytime you starting creating a look i think "thats not gonna work" and then you finish it and prove me wrong... that's some fashion sense I could never have. And Tom, I didn't know about the escalator!!!
Colour can be scary (and for me it’s not an everyday thing, I love neutrals) but it’s fun and refreshing ☺️❤️

Every time I hear about the hip pain during pregnancy I'm more sure and highly agree with my doctors that I should never get pregnant because I already have hip issues and apparently pregnancy could make it worse to the point of me not being able to walk at all anymore.
Good thing that I don't want kids anymore.

You’ll know your baby’s name when you see him:) we had a top contender name and some backups, but knew she was a little Olive when we saw her and the other names didn’t seem to fit her at all!
I remember reading this funny quote or something where if you don’t know which name is right for your baby, you choose by shouting it out and seeing which one feels the best to shout out (maybe imagine you’re in a scenario where your child is far and you have to say something,) so maybe doing that will help with choosing the name!

I’ve had three babies, naming our third was so hard. My daughter was easy and my son was easy but our third baby was hard to find a name for. I just couldn’t settle on a name for him. Until my husband came to me and found a name that literally combined all of our kids name together and the moment he said the name my heart fluttered agate how I knew it was the perfect name. Sometimes you just know it’s meant to be!

11:00 Although I am in no way new, I love seeing such spots in hong kong, I wanted to visit for years but waited until graduation, then the student protests happened and then the pandemic so currently waiting for the situation to settle down so I can visit all such spots!

Hello from Kazakhstan, when my sister was pregnant i searched few months to choose the name that we'd like, we believe that the name determines the destiny( Scythian culture, names matter you need to like what it means, depends on the name what character the child will have) Loewe is good name take care of yourself, you're incredible mom don't worry too much 🥰

Swaddleme's, they are the most amazing thing for newborns and a nursing pillow that clips around your waste. Those two things SAVED me when I had my son.

Tay, I was just going to tell you from personal experience... in regards to the stress of buying stuff before the baby gets here so you feel more prepared.. All the baby will need is you lol. Maybe some formula and bottles, diapers, wipes, blankets, pacifier, and that's literally it. I know as a first time mom you must be feeling so overwhelmed with all the choices of cribs, clothes, toys, etc. In native american culture, we don't have baby showers because it's not recommended for people to celebrate someone before they are out of the womb and can breathe on their own. I know there are a lot of different baby/pregnancy traditions all over the world, and I enjoy learning about Chinese ones! So tell Tom thank you! But being native, the stress of knowing what crib to buy, the clothes, toys, room decor, didn't apply to me lol. It was freaking awesome and took a lot of pressure off. During that first month, seriously all the baby needs is Mom and diapers lol. Please don't stress yourself out too much!
This is excellent advice, thanks so much! I'm just 2 weeks behind Tay, and this helped me feel a bit more relaxed :) I didn't have a baby shower either, I didn't feel comfortable with the idea of inviting people just for presents.
@@cinnamonbed seriously, it's stressful enough just bringing a child into the world! Don't panic buy anything. Once baby is here, if you need something then buy it. Some of my non native friends have spent crazy amounts of money on things they never once used! Just try to relax and enjoy some quiet time before baby gets here. You'll be fine 🙂

Watching this while my 15 month old naps on me 💖. It’s so easy to get caught up in all things a baby needs but realistically, they just need you. And probably some nappies, sleep suits, bottles and sterilser (if bottle feeding), and a next to me crib. Mummy must haves are definitely nipple cream, breast pads, a long phone charger, a snack caddy, and meals all pre-prepared. You totally got this 💖

Currently in my second trimester, and we decided on the name very early actually… I feel like you know when it’s the right name, you feel a connection to it, it speaks to you… maybe you haven’t find the right one yet, that’s why you’re unsure…. Or you just need to trust your instincts. I’m sure you’ll find the perfect name for you little one! I can’t wait to know the names!

If I may, as a Nanny, for your new baby shopping list:
All the diapers. Unscented bum wipes. Diaper Genie (or doggy poop bags for the poopy diapers - keeps everything contained, trust me you don't want a poopy explosion in the garbage can lol) Bum cream (the first poops and pees for baby will irritate their sensitive skin) Don't use the powder as it causes cancer (why it's still being sold idk) Nipple cream if you're going to breastfeed. Various sizes of bottle nipples - each baby is different on what works best. Baby monitors. All the onesies. Receiving blankets. Be prepared for poop and pee spills, do over pack when traveling or even going to the grocery store. 💯🖤

I bought a *7000 baby names* book. The wife and I spent 4 hours going through all the names.
And in *typical female fashion* She went right back to the sodding beginning and chose *Amber* . Which was my first choice 4 hours ago before we even opened the book... AAArrrggghhh !!!
I was one of the people on Instagram who suggested a "T" name as well! I love the flow of it! Here are a few of my favorite boy T name contenders to think about! (Although Tate is amazing as well!)

I remember when I was pregnant, the babies would push their foot or knee or hand or something up in my rib cage. And it was so uncomfortable. I'd have to gently push on that area and they would move it out if my ribs. Lol it is the strangest feeling!

As far as names go, have you considered anything in relation to the fact that he'll be born in the year of the tiger? I think the right name will come to you when you've met your little one, though.
