Beautiful piece of work Chip , and remember seeing your father a number of times on "Overhaulin' " . Didn't Richard Rawlings discover one of your fathers custom cars Chip ? Chip . I've repaired , painted and restored for 53 years and l consider myself to be very skilled but your skill is on another level ....a much higher level .....respect sir !

Did not know your father had passed. I’m so sorry. Incredible work on the vice and I’m stoked on all the new videos.

I’ve seen similar vise designs like this one on Pintrest and other internet sites but never knew Dan Woods was the creator of that style of vise. The stand and base is so awesome looking. The whole piece looks like it should be in an art gallery or museum. What a beautiful design. It’s what I call “optically correct”. Looks amazing from all angles👍

Sorry to hear about your dad. I’ve followed your work for years and I admired the relationship you had with your dad. My son called me his hero so I really understand. Thanks for sharing , that’s an awesome vise.👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾

I remember when Dan Woods came here to the UK to see my friend Ed Wimble .
We all met at my workshop in the south of London, Dan was a really nice bloke.
    Good times back then.

Hi , sehr guter Schraubstock !
    Designer :)

Roach Coach, one of my favorite "funny" cars. Designed by Ed Newton and built by Dan Woods. So, of course i know the fella, great eye for detail, gifted hand in fabrication and creation.

l'm sure everyone know's this, but you never leave a vise closed tight, always leave them open slightly.
why you might ask, if you occidentally walk into it, closed it will likely hurt you a lot more than it will, left open.

I was going to settle for a vice from Harbor freight, but it seems like none of them will tolerate being pried on horizontally.
By the way, your dad seemed like a very nice guy just like my dad.
