Something I’ve struggled with this year is not enjoying my hobbies and I think that’s mainly down to my surroundings and my home environment. It’s uninspiring, dull and unfortunately there’s little to no privacy or peace. My number one goal for 2022 is to move out, get my own place and enjoy my life again. Full of inspiration and fulfilment.

I opened my journal to January 1, 2021 and it says, "I am still a lazy piece of 💩." 2021 was a year for healing and growth, and learning to love myself and I accomplished it so well 😭 I am so proud of me. I sat with some significant trauma for so long and truly learned how to process and overcome it this year. I feel so free now, like I'm finally the Amanda I always knew I could be. 🖤

I felt this. You'd think lazy. But it's not. You were more mentally growing. Physically wasn't transferred over from mental and spiritual growth. Just apply them physically

I had almost no goals for 2021 and it was still such a banger of a year for me honestly. I now have a beautiful, clean, soft face without any acnes, I started going to gym regularly (three times a week) almost never missing a single practice, I setup a goal of reading 5 books on Goodreads and ended up reading 10 which is crazy, I traveled to a gorgeous seaside town for summer vacation and I just had a freaking blast idk how but I think manifestation played a major role and I only did it for fun didn't really expect anything but so many good things happened because of it, it just makes me so happy reflecting on 2021 ✨💖 So yeah for anyone wondering out there - PLEASE just try manifestation even for a little bit and good things will come your way without you even realizing it 😊

My perfectionism is why I normally fall off of a routine. I normally get so upset with myself when I fall thru that I just stop all together. I really like the tracking system you mentioned. It creates more of a curiosity than a defeatist mindset. Awesome! Very helpful!

Loved the video -- personally I've struggled in the last 2 years to even have goals because of Covid. I live in Melbourne, we endured the longest lockdown in the world here, and I lived by myself almost the whole time, and it's just such an uncertain time which makes me feel concerned about the future. Even though it's been hard and 2022 may be just as challenging, I really want to stop making excuses due to Covid. Although it's fair enough, I'm done with it ruling my life and my mental health. I want to choose to be on the right track and focus what I do have control over, reminding myself that what we are going through will not last forever, and some of the best days of our life are still yet to happen. I'm praying 2022 will be a great year for you all! xxx

A few of the goals I had for 2021 weren't possible because of covid, namely getting a job abroad and travelling, and it looks like those plans will be pushed back again in 2022.
However, I did achieve a lot of my goals! I got my Etsy store off the ground and started getting revenue, I improved in my second language, got my flexibility back, moved from home workouts to the gym and booked my first ever driving lessons. I'm happy with what I've been able to achieve despite everything.
Putting out good energy that 2022 will be better for all of us and I can finally start travelling 🤞

Last year I slowly worked my way up and since January 2021 i work a 40 hour week and it worked really really well, i felt great and had motivation. Now in December 2021 I am overcommited. I won't go beyond my current workload in 2022, but I will "hustle" my mental health instead. 30 day meditation/journaling/gratitude. It's shouldn''t always be about increasing work. 2021 was about success, 2022 will be about happiness.

2020 and this year was hard for me but I also gave birth to my daughter this year and wouldn't have changed it. Regardless of what I didn't accomplish, this year is still a blessing. I love these tips! Seeing this video is perfect timing! What's different about this year and my habits is that I had the idea of starting fresh and starting now and not waiting til New Year's. I just started this channel and finally know what content I want to create, as it's my passion to create content. I started a routine in November and I write to-do's daily. I'm usually a perfectionist and get upset when I fall off or don't put that checkmark, but I love your way instead and to be honest with myself. I gotta hold myself accountable and see my patterns. Thank you for sharing! And if you're reading this comment, I wish you happiness, health, and fulfillment for 2022! 💖

One way that I keep track of goals and routines is by setting "dates" with myself to do important things. Make a date to create a vision board or list of goals and order pizza. Make yourself a cup of coffee or tea and sit down to review your finances. Throw a dance party/ cleaning house session. Pairing tasks that seem arduous or boring with things you enjoy doing REALLY helps.

    Just what I needed 🙌
Something I do for that New Year Boost is to create mini new years throughout the year, so if I fall off track and i need that little boost to reaffirm what I doing I have check in points.
(Also good for me to adjust what is realistic based on my situation; e.g. I broke up with my bf and now I'm home parents so I have 0 control over what I eat, so all those related habits are irrelevant. BUT I can pick up an extra hobby bc I'm not running around looking after myself and a manchild)
Idk might be something useful for the perfectionists out there who are like "new years, one streak, that's IT"

Thank you for this. I get super down on myself when I “fail” to follow a routine and then think I have to scratch everything and start new. This in itself makes me feel guilty and worse. Building on habits that work and evaluating what didn’t is where I need to go. Super helpful, thank you! ❤️

  • @kelemart

I love the idea of not waiting to start until 2022. For example, in my case I have a really hectic routine so it's quite hard for me to do everything I want to so I need to really organize my schedule to get as much as possible done. However, my vacation is approaching and things are getting a bit better so I decided to work out 5 days per week (normally I only exercise 3 days). I don't know how this specific habit will be like next year but since I can do something now to accomplish it make me feel like I'm making some effort towards my goals.
Something I also like to consider when setting up my goals is the Numerology of my year. I like to check how the energies are because depending on my plans some actions might be more "naturally" accomplished and easier than others, but this is something I consider, I know not many people do this sort of thing but since I know how to make Numerology charts why not use it :)

”Basically give ourselves a sense of certainty. But life is very uncertain.” THIS BEING SAID IN LIKE 2 second with no emphasis on the fact that life is uncertain. Like i wonder what made you understand that. Isnt it some point that most of us realize that life is uncertain? And it kinda changes us? I wonder if one can understand it in layers. Kinda interesting to think about.
”we can only really set out as far as we can see” also this is so true ?? It’s like the hermit card in tarot, his lamp/candle is only lighting up a bit in front of him, so he kinda need to just trust and take one step at a time
kalyn, i’m telling you, i get you so much more when i’m stoned

Perfect timing! I’m writing my final tomorrow and really need to get back on track. My diet, fitness, and mental health took a backseat the last two months while I worked on my term assignment and now prepare for the final. I work full time as well, and I’m starting another class in January. So here’s to hoping I can create better routines to be able to take care of myself while in school and working 🙏🏼🥂

Okay but that tracking advice might’ve really just helped me in creating a workout routine. I’ve been thinking “obviously I need rest days what days should I do rest days” and I also wanted to make sure that I have my grocery day fall on a rest day but I didn’t even consider what day would be best for me to grocery shop. I just told myself like maybe Tuesday or Wednesday when the shipments are new and fresh but I never stopped to consider if those were really good days for me in particular. So that’s actually really helpful I never heard of that but it sounds so intuitive. I love how clean ur document looked tho I’m totally gonna copy that.
OH I do have a question tho!! My struggle with creating routines is some days I just really don’t want to do a specific task but I’m trying to make it habit so I force myself to do it anyway and over time it adds resistance and makes me dislike the task (ex: reading, exercising, literally anything) and then I end up giving up on it entirely. So on days that u, for example, don’t feel like reading 2 chapters, what do u do?
And are you strict about timing like “if i don’t finish my 2 chapters by 8:00 am then I’ll just close the book and move on to the next task” or do u just kinda flow through the sequence (or the “stack” or “chunk” lol whatever u called it)
    Self note:
I should track what days are best for meal plan, grocery shopping, weightlifting, strength training, sat prep… that’s all for now I guess.

I needed this video so badly!! Thank you Kalyn 💕you are the most inspirational UA-camr. You don’t know this but you saved me years ago when I was the lowest of lows with mental and physical health. My good friend showed me your channel and I was immediately hooked. You’re so warm and comforting in times of chaos. You will make an amazing life coach one day. I just wanted to tell you that. Love you!💖🥰
