a lot of people give Fiji shit but it's important to acknowledge it was a historic season in a lot of ways. The first time an idol was played successfully. The first all-African American final three. the first time Survivor truly leaned on the recruiting method of casting. the first time someone swept the jury votes. the first time they were in Fiji which would become the permanent home of the show over a decade later. And one of the greatest (or maybe most infamous) lies in the shows long history. it's not a good season but it is a significant one and Earl remains one of the most underrated winners the show has ever had.
It's amazing how great of a game Earl played despite having only ever seen one single episode of Survivor before playing it. Just the way he dominated the season based off of shear intuition and charisma was amazing I wish he was chosen for Winners at War
Definitely a fan of him!!! I wish he would come back for an all star season!!! And that smile he gave during his blindside on Eduardo.....was so SATISFYING
Earl played a top five winning game in Survivor history. There's almost nothing I can criticize. He was almost never targeted, only getting a single throwaway vote all game. He controlled nearly every vote, and he won unanimously after an all-time great Final Tribal Council performance.
@@extremelyfordham4811 Actually Earl was safe. He, Cassandra, and Dreamz had already agreed to go to the Final 3. Dreamz just wanted to get Yau out so that he wouldn't be forced to give Yau immunity at Final 4, thus ruining that plan.
I actually learned something in this video. I never realized that they didn’t know beforehand about the change to a final 3. It made the car deal look way better for Yau, AND it makes Earl’s win even better in my eyes.
Earl is one my favourites winner. He is smart, strong, charismatic and good leader. I love him and the dance traditional reward challenge, i can't understand why not continue this challenge in future seasons.
In my opinion this is the greatest game of survivor ever, never has a player played so dominantly and still never ONCE be targeted. Sure JT and Cochran also were never targeted but Earl never won immunity and went to tribal a ton in the pre merge. Earls game is just fundamentally perfect and that’s why I think it’s the best ever
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Earl was playing on cruise control. That's not a knock against him, if anything it's a major compliment. But wow, he was so clearly going to win from minute 1.
An underrated player and criminally underrated winner. Just wish he could come back. Also, when you cover China, you should have titles reflect figures in Chinese mythology. For example, Sun Wukong for Todd.
I wouldn't call Earl underrated. Sure, he wasn't flashy in his win, and a result, he's not talked about very often, but i haven't seen anybody argue that Earl was a bad winner.
earl one of the best winners ever wish he was on winners at war hope he plays again love his laid back nice guy go with the flow attitude he makes winning this game look easy
I really want Survivor as it is right now to adopt back to what Fiji and Palau did at the start. Have the castaways hang out on the beach get to know each other or know who they would like to target once they get into tribes. How they do that is they have a challenge with all castaways , the first 2 are the ones who pick, then like in Palau the person they picked picks after and so on. Whichever tribe goes to tribal counsel the first person who won the initial challenge is safe for that vote.
If Dreamz owned his game he would have at least went down in history as one of the top villains in the game. Him and Earl are giving me Russle/Natalie vibes
Earl Cole Is One Of The Best Winner! One of the nice people to ever play Survivor! Survivor Fiji was the first season of Survivor I ever completed watched so Earl is one my favorite winners ever! Earl Cole The Original King Of Fiji!
Earl played statistically the best game in survivor history 1 vote away from a perfect game. Voted correctly every time, got all the jury votes and only got 1 throwaway vote.
I feel if Cassandra hadn't been in Moto until the merge, Earl would've still had won but Yau-Man probably would've been in the final 3 so he probably wouldn't have gotten all votes. I feel people like Lisi or Boo who brought up Earl voting him out would've voted for Yau-Man.
I remember being so frustrated watching this season because the entire time I wanted Dreamz to be voted off because of how annoying he was in episode 1 and how he backstabbed my favorite character. But hey, at least he didn't win.
I think Earl may be my favorite winner of the first 14 seasons. Yul, Tina and Sandra come close, but I don’t think any of them surpass Earl in terms of how much I enjoyed them
I kno this is a dated episode. But, I can't help corrolate Earl's game to new BB24 winner, Taylor Hale. The management of perceptions and uber self control in a pressure cooker environment. 💪🏼 Thank you btw for reminding me of the great players in Survivor 🙏🏼🙏🏼. Love these these individual summaries.
The Original King of Fiji: The Story of Earl Cole Those who belong to Christ Jesus are no longer under God's judgment. Because of what Christ Jesus has done, you are free. You are now controlled by the law of the Holy Spirit who gives you life. The law of the Spirit frees you from the law of sin that brings death. The written law was made weak by the power of sin. But God did what the written law could not do. He made his Son to be like those who live under the power of sin. God sent him to be an offering for sin. Jesus suffered God's judgment against our sin.
I love calling him the original king of Fiji
Is that because nowadays they are filming in Fiji?
@itacryan I think so

Have u seen guatemala
Gary Hogeboom would like to have a word
@@esdeathisbae9480 we don’t know if he would’ve been voted out tho.

I wish he was chosen for Winners at War
He was asked for WAW and declined.
"Snakes are just misunderstood"
I absolutely adore this man.
Definitely a fan of him!!! I wish he would come back for an all star season!!! And that smile he gave during his blindside on Eduardo.....was so SATISFYING
Earl's face when Dreamz says he's keeping the necklace cracks me up every time I see it 😂

Earl is a solid winner of the show. He's not in my Top 10 personally, but I understand why he is on other people's lists!
He's in my top 10.
He had a elite social game but if Yau didn’t play the idol correctly his the next to go final 5

Earl was in control though Natalie was banking on Russell crashing and burning Earl beats most of this cast
Great video, been waiting for this one since you started this story-series on Fiji
One of the best winners ever!!!
I was honestly rooting for Yau-man throughout the entire season……but of course, Dreamz happens…

Earl Cole The Original King Of Fiji!
Top 5 winner. Sorely missed in WaW.
Earl played statistically the best game in survivor history 1 vote away from a perfect game. Voted correctly every time, got all the jury votes and only got 1 throwaway vote.
Cochran only voted incorrect once on his perfect game!
Earl doing the dance is the best sight everrr😍
Early survivor. Played early survivor very well.
I would say this is essentially the game played by the winner of season 39 as well. This style very much translates across eras of the show.
MY FAVORITE WINNER OF ALL TIME!!!
One chill dude.
It's a shame bad timing kept him from playing again, really wanted to see him on WAW.
They didn't even try to hide that earl was the winner
All hail the king!
Another name for him is the man who won without ever seeing the show.

The first Goat!!
God, Dreamz was a wretched person.
Fiji ftc was probably the single most frustrating ftc in Survivor history. I hate Alex so much.
All stars was pretty uncomfortable too
Dreamz making things racial right out of the gate is INSANE
Dreamz don't know what he was thinking.
10:25 wtf 🤣
A POLITICIAN! What a low blow!😂😂😂
Bad season, good winner.

:-)
He only won because there wasn't another choice! The final three were all a joke
So... he played a good game, eliminating those who could have beaten him at the end.
Earl played a great game. He might not of won if it was Yau instead of Dreamz, but we can't invalidate how well he carried himself.
Dreamz was a smart player and I respect his flip-flop game, but his FTC performance.........HORRIBLE
