Hey Larry. A couple years ago I was standing in front of a judge in PA and he ordered me to take a UA. It was a revocation hearing. The judge asked me over and over if I had drugs in my system and I kept telling him no. I knew I was dirty. The probation officer escorted me to the basement and miraculously I could not piss! Lol I asked if I could get a drink out of the water fountain and instead slid around the corner to the stairwell and calmly walked the hell out. I didn’t end up in front of that judge until a year later. Needless to say I went to jail. The reason I ended up going back to court a year later is a whole other story but I had to go for a federal arraignment and at the end of the arraignment the marshals handed me over to the county in which I ran from. You can run but you cannot hide. Ever!

You can hide... if you make your way down to Mexico and keep going. I hear Brazil and Venezuela are good places to hide as long as nobody ever finds out who you really are.
      Is it worth it, though?

I was charged with "assault" and "battery" for defending some poor kid in the women's restroom from an assaulter. the assaulter got away Scott free, and I was charged because he lied to the police. I had a bunch of witnesses around the area that saw what the person was doing, and they spoke out on the lie. but I was still charged for assault. the police didnt give me any chance to charge him, sadly

I read that in WWII, the British were required to try to escape if they became a POW. Not sure if it is true, but they did sure try to escape a lot, it was once you were OUT that problems really really began!

InTennessee they will throw you in jail for not paying child support. I know, because it happened to me, twice. I had just moved where I live now and had a hard time finding a job, 2010. After I found a job, they suspended my license and I had to pay $500 to get them back. Tennessee child support is all screwed up. You're behind the same day you go to court to see how much you have to pay each pay period.

I remember twice in the past about a decade ago my nephew was on drug court, and because he hadn't done with the court wanted him to do, he had showed up to report and they had him sit on what we called the "hot seat" which was a long bench that was closer to the room where inmates would come out when the judge would call for them to come out, and being on the hot seat meant you were being placed into custody and going to county jail, and my nephew would lie and say he had to use the restroom and two times they naively let him get up to use the restroom that was just outside of the courtroom that the civilians would use, and he would run down the stairs and run out of the courthouse and escaped. This happened at the Jamestown City Court in Jamestown New York. My nephew wasn't even the only one who had ever pulled that stunt. I was only even there to support my nephew, I wasn't the one in trouble lol I was only there so I could let my sister know what exactly happened because we expected my nephew to be placed in the custody, but he was surprised everyone by escaping the courtroom and going on the Run.

I ran from court once, I was told I had a warrant by my lawyer in thr courtroom and to turn myself in soon, was a Tuesday, my lawyer said don't wait until the weekend to do it or she couldn't argue for bail. Thought I had a day or two to get ready for it but the prosecutor wanted me arrested so they called officers to the courtroom. I walked out as the cops were walking to the courtroom, I approached them and asked where's the bathroom? They told me and I said thanks and kept walking, heard them say "I'll wait out here you can go in and get him" as I walked away. Once they were out of sight I booked it down the stairs and then walked the other set to not raise suspicions of the door guards. Worked perfectly lol. Ended up turning myself in a week later though haha.

I am walking up to a corner store when a young guy in cuffs comes running towards my, he put his head down and tried to run into me. I pulled a bullfighter move and threw him to the ground, the PD came by shortly after. I held him until the cops got out of the car. Instead of worsening his situation I told them he had fallen down instead of saying he charged me. I found out later he was in court for a simple assault charge.

Depends on the state for ESCAPE
In my state you could be EFFED for escape because we have THREE STRIKES laws
And depending on the severity of the crime before you escaped if it's a misdemeanor you likely get probation
Depends on the escape too like if you escape n turn yourself IN you get a SLAP ON THE WRIST
If you had ANY FELONY it becomes felony escape n YOU GET AUTOMATIC strike plus ANY CHARGES get elevated a CLASS or if you LEAVE THE STATE and they get extradition FELONY ESCAPE
My state is the THIRD WORST behind Michigan n Texas for escape
Texas can GIVE YOU LIFE for escape n Michigan is TEN YEARS TACKED ON

I wonder what are your thoughts of criminals getting a pardon for military service, like they do now in Russia, like if you had 10-15 years for murder or something else serious, you go fighting for six months or even less if wounded, and you are clean and you can start a new life. How many people in your view will change their life after that, or they will simply inevitably return to criminal way at some point? Keeping the politics aside if possible. I talked to ex convict recently, and he said all people he knew from criminal world who were in jail, they are all there now, some in hospital, some on front line.

  • @deanjustdean7818
    @deanjustdean7818 11 місяців тому

I still believe in bad people, but one has to be able to ask themselves. "Is this a bad person, or did they just make a bad choice?" ... Any way you slice it, all of these defendants made the worst possible choices.
I am five-eight and change and, when at my heaviest comfortable weight, about two hundred pounds. As a court assessment said, average height, heavy build. A lot of the people doing the catching in these videos, I could have plowed right through them, but the rational mind says "well, assault charges tend to attract some serious jail time, and assaulting an officer of the court or a police officer, more so... do you really want to do this?".
And you hit the nail on the head about post-escape. Finding a place to go to where you can remain hidden is not as easy as it sounds.
