This episode was amazing! EDIT: guys please watch until the end, initially we thought Mori wasn’t giving it his all but by the end we realized they were both going HAM. Also we saw the end credits scene but it was after we cut the cam unfortunately

The blue dragon kick was made on the spot from Jin merging his fighting style with the Azure Dragon attack,
I honestly can’t wait for them to animate the rest of GoH. The fights in the manhwa are amazing
I'm too hyped cause I know the rest bout to be fire. And that shows how skilled he is to be able to create original moves with ease like that.

This is the same guy who took a *Bat* to head to help up an enemy who slipped, why do so many forget that? Yes, it's a fight, but his fight with Mori was not in his character to hit where he *knew* she was hurt. This ep we know why he was so cold.
TheBUCfifty no one forgot that... his friend was dying so he had to win in the fastest way possible.. of course he was going to punch her in the gut, and being ruthless against Mori.. he did whatever he had to do to save his best friend... THAT’S also part of his character
@The MVP His friend was still fighting for his life when he entered the tournament- think the thing that people who are still kinda feeling a ways towards Daewi is due to him being honorable towards some random fighter compared to Mira when his friend was on burrowed time anyway.
Had he had that "I gotta do what I gotta do" mentality from jump then think some folk would be more understanding, especially given how I'm sure he knew his friend wouldn't have wanted him to do that the way he did either- basically if he had that urgency and kept that energy from the start then people wouldn't have been so surprised.

Mori is way more thoughtful than people originally give him credit for. He proves every episode why he's a good MC in multiple facets.

Here's some info that will help you understand a bit behind the moves they use:
Mori's triple kick is when he kicks his opponent's right temple, then the left temple, and finally the back of their heads all at a very fast speed which eventually causes a great deal of damage to his oponents. Basically the first kick to the left temple and the second kick to the right temple happen so quick that one can view it as a "wall" pushing from the left side of the opponent's head and a "wall" pushing from the right side of the oponents head. This causes a great deal of resonance to the oponent's skull. The final kick to the back of the head finishes up the combo and causes a great deal of damage to the enemy's head (skull) and could possibly even break it. This is why it's a good thing that they have the nanomachine technology. Daewi's four guardian God moves are all based around wind pressure (hence the wind blowing all across the stage after he used all four moves the first time). The first three moves are to manipulate and build up wind pressure that will eventually be released in the 4th and final move: the Azure Dragon. The reverse version of this move will be "absorbing" or manipulating the wind pressure built up around his opponent and using it against them. What Mori did at the end was basically the same move but Mori included it into his kick which made it much more effective for him and managed to destroy a part of the arena. Mori technically copied his move but added a twist to make it his own.
Idk if you realized but that guy with blue hair at the end of the episode is the one who defeated Manseok Kang (the dude who Mori Jin defeated back in episode 2)

His name is Ilpyo Park and like Mori he focuses more on martial arts than anything else but he also has another type of power up his sleeve which they will touch upon in future episodes
Sarai Cano Yea it was incorrect in ep2 but in this episode, it you watch frame by frame, it's very close to the webtoon, only difference is that if you watch carefully in the anime, he started with the left temple and then the right temple.

This was an amazing episode, especially where they had the watercolor/SF4 ink splashing and I had never seen that done before in the history of me watching anime! God of High School definitely have some innovative animators on their team!

Yeah that annoyed the hell out of me, sure Jin's in a league of his own but Daewi is nothing to scoff at, he'd mop the floor with every other exponent
like I wonder why these people are fine with the main protagonist being overly powerful than the rest of the team. The manhwa did the same but the Author probably realized that and made a change in the anime which I am really grateful for, he should be slightly stronger than the rest of his team.

He's more of a naruto but ok... Also, the guy at the end with turquoise hair was the guy in the Roshi flashback, and lemme tell you sumtin EVERYONE at the end are HUGE problems like they are NASTY ASF so be prepared...

so that move he finished him with is called the "dragon catcher"....generally, when he does the triple kick, he aims for the head(I'm sure somebody will comment how the triple kick works) but for this move, mori heads into a low position and jumps high into the air, hooking the dudes head into his leg, as he spins rapidly..then he throws the dude back down, making him spin like a beyblade..
Daewi's 4 stances:
The 1st stance, black turtle fist, breaks opponents guard..
2nd stance, vermillion bird/phoenix kick, disrupts the opponents stance...
3rd stance, white tiger dance, is a long ass combo....
But all 3 stances have a secondary/hidden purpose...which is to manipulate the airflow in the given space and make it turbulent(the flow of air moving in different directions)...
...this sets up for the 4th stance, the blue dragon wave, which pushes all of that turbulence of air back toward the opponent..the turbulence cutting the opponent up and pushing them back(that's what you saw happen to jinmori)...
Then you have the reverse blue dragon wave...where he blocked the kick, and used the force of the kick and reversed it back toward mori....
I never thoughtd there'd be emotional reactions like you guys....that's kinda wild to me...but at the same time that should let you know this series is gonna be a little different in terms of some of the events that happen....the mysteries in this show are good, and crazy when they get revealed..
I'm glad you guys are enjoying this fight series....lord knows it has better story than DBZ....

Alnor Rakiin I think they explain how the triple kick works when Mori fights the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu guy. He basically kicks the head and then kicks again on the way the head recoils then follows up the third recoil with another kick. It makes it super hard to dodge once started and since it catches all the recoils your brain gets absolutely rocked
@@durdn_19 Yeah everything is explained so much more in the webtoon. Some of this seemingly random stuff is actually on purpose. You should give it a read cause they've missed out a lot of scenes even before this, like Mori Jins fight with the yellow hair dude that gave him the invitation and more.

Random thought because I don’t read GOH: so Mo-Ri has the same personality as literally every other shonen protagonist that is based on Sun Wukong, and he kinda had that Saiyan hair look to him. On top of that, he ate those forbidden fruit which seemingly boosted his strength, similar to how Sun Wukong ate the immortal peaches in Journey to the West. Plus the series is GOD of Highschool. I’m thinking these powers that people have might be divine in origin or maybe the people themselves are manifestations of divine entities who are battling it out for who gets to rule over the other gods?

They skipped some things I’d like to mention the reason the Brazilian jujitsu fighter didn’t fall with the three kicks was because he kept moving forward to reduce the amount of damage taken, Han actually goes and talks to the guy he beat up with glasses in order to get his notes on Jins martial arts and to practice his azure dragon
A lot of the how and why gets missed with this anime adaptation. A lot of the reactions have a lot of wtf is happening expressions. Which make sense since the anime skips/cuts a lot of the exposition of the how/why of each characters fighting style. Which is fine if the visuals can make up for it, but I personally don't think they do that here.
blanahaha yea I also don’t like the pacing, I feel like the reason this show is doing good is because of the art style and fighting scenes and the hype it created. They also skipped the park mujin vs divine doctor, Jin taejin vs cult members and the wishes of the other fighters such as seung trying to reach nirvana.
@@goatgoat7227 I think they're focused on making it look nice instead of it having substance. Honestly with all the stuff they cut out so far this should have been at least episode 9 or 10 minimum. They're running through so much stuff that makes the webcomic good that it's almost sad. Hell they had Mori using his feet in the first damn episode where in the webcomic he only uses his feet when he fights somebody that he thinks is worthy of it. Dont get me wrong the show is good if you're an anime only but if you've read the webcomic then you see what could have been

What's cooler is that most of the fight scenes in this series were made by motion tracking actual martial artists which they hired on the set so that the fights look more 'organic'

I can’t remember right, but during that scene where daewi was chilling in the abandoned building with the guy. He was supposed to have that conversation while they were fighting the other guys, and after the guy says something about trust. The squad comes rushing in to help.

when you went for the fight scenes but GOH serving you feels
The True Round Kick is actually the ultimate attack of Renewal Taekwondo and we were actually supposed to see it earlier. Mori uses it against Jahee at the beginning of the episode but anime had him get knocked out earlier than he did in the webtoon. In the webtoon, he gets back up after being slammed to the ground so Mori decided to end the fight by using the True Round Kick. Then in his fight with Daewi when Daewi did the Azure Dragon or Blue Dragon as it's called in the webtoon when Mori was running to kick Daewi before he launched it, he did the True Round Kick instead of a normal-looking kick, so it was more like their ultimate attacks clashing to see who is gonna win the clash.
When daewi used his 4 move combo the only thing I thought about was the bladebreakers from the original beyblade, the black tortious being draciel (max), the red pheionex being dranzer (kai), the white tiger being driger (ray), and the azur dragon being dragoon (Tyson)

You gotta understand this is all introduction stuff for the Webtoon. That's why stuff like the wedding is happening quickly. It's just to introduce the characters and the pre- really having their powers phase. Like idk how to explain it the story is so much further this is just to set it up

I feel like you guys aren't giving daewi enough credit which I can't blame you cuz things are going by pretty fast but Mori was honestly trying his hardest throughout the entire fight, he couldn't just have washed Daewi and any moment in time. Also, I brought up the speed of the episode because the webtoon shows you that Mori is one to learn as he fights. The Jin Mori Original Blue dragon kick was made on the spot after having seen Daewi do his Azure Dragon. That's what he meant by "now I understand."
