Just wanna say thanks for you and all are police for doing a great job
I do, lol the man in the dressing gown you know what i mean, do you have any other situations like that you will be covering on the channel lol (read your book btw) brilliant.
Can't wait to get your book. It's just cleared customs here in the US. I should have it next week.
@@01cthompson its a interesting insight i won't say more than that except enjoy the book i did.
Have you ever pressed that red button?
These videos will massively improve police and public relations. Some people never think about the fact the police are human. The videos are really powerful ben and I hope they are helping you cope. All the best.
That’s a great comment.
@@serenityinside1 thanks
Thank you xxx
I agree with@@serenityinside1 Great comment pal!
@@tomgough92 thanks.
I really like that closing comment " Im proud of who I am, Im proud of what I do"
Ben as a mixed race lad from west yorkshire, ive got to say youve opened my eyes more on what the polics have to deal with.
Why do you have to specify your colour? Your adding to the problem by doing so
@@Sudstah Don't be so naïve! Racism exists is most large organisations and has been shown to be systemic. While this is more noticeable in the US, the British police force is not exempt! The chances of being stopped and arrested is higher for black people than for white ones and disproportionate to the general population. That's something you can look up (and look up 'systemic' while you're there!).
@@Sudstah why do you have a issue with it. Im proud to be mixed race as i do feel like i see both sides to some extent. Plus i got told by a west yorkshire policeman not to join as its rife with corruption. I had to say it to show i apreciate a good policeman but never had any empathy for them until watching this. And as a mixed race guy who did his fair share of shit, i just wanted him to know it aint all in vain. Sterotypes are evil tbh and human error is real, police are humans but the laws and government dont have a clue......
@@Sudstah because people of mixed race backgrounds have had a difficult two way relationship with the cops over the years so he wants ben to see that as a mixed race bloke he sees that Ben and other cops actually have a hard job to do.
@@godsson7787 It's not that I have an issue with it im mixed race as well, my point is people need to stop defining by colour because to me its a way of them saying they are different from us when we are all the same, and I am fully aware people see you as different whether its racism or just what I call sub prejudice from personal experience, people just need to modernize in this increasingly globalized multi ethnic age.
I applied to be a Police officer in 1997 for West Yorkshire Police, and for some reason I stopped filling in the application form, listening to this I now know why. I truly respect you mate...I really do.
Best thing you could have ever done why make a living abusing civilians they stalk their ex partners and their bosses cover it up my friend suffered at her exes hands the pc stalker bosses assured her her that pc ex who was attacking her pals at her door and pulling them over constantly for searches would be out a job (for stalking with proof) inside of two yrs don't go to the hassle of a criminal proceedings dear you've had enough stress kinda thing.. he's still in uniform he never was sacked and my friend oh she got her car sized 3x under false pretences proved she did indeed have tax and insurance police Scotland refused her her fines and impounding fees being refunded they actively went after a single mother who was sexually assaulted and stalked for coming fwd now she's got creep a few pc's creepshotting her at the gym talking about her in chat group's in WhatsApp whilst constantly approaching her how you doing sry about my colleague let's get dinner sometime they have a history of approaching women in vuberable situations and using their jobs to stalk including getting caught on tape recordings and mobile video coming on to my friends teenage daughters whilst in his own home no action was taken about officers creepy behaviour other than they stopped visiting .they're out control their bosses cover their stalking I know my ex stalked me used database to do so she's in Shetland working as a pc still!! Even after being in papers for lying in court and multiple criminal offences don't they drug test these cokeheads steroid abuser pcs anymore
I have a lot of empathy for your friends situation. It is like any job, you are going to get the odd nutcase. Just don’t tar everyone with the same brush. In large corporations there will be people willing to help the nutcase until their lies start to be questioned. Th y then leave said person high & dry.
@@0141star you need to your head sorted out , obviously you have some serious emotional, physiological issues you make it seem like there's is alot police brutality in the UK , you think the police should ask nicely and the suspect or criminal will say sure officer I will go with not going assault you knife you ,etc , they don't know how people are going to react and at time force in necessary , police brutality would hitting a criminal or beating a suspect up for no reason literally no cause at all , I guarantee in 99% of circumstances that's not the case you just because you heard , seen one incccident etc doesn't mean you can cloud the whole police with that
@@DC3Refom I know from being an 11yr old put in intensive care from a police truncheon you idiot ive been assaulted many a time by police because i complained about being stalked by pc jen walker I was stalked by this officer I dated for a bit but found out she was an officerso she had to go she used database to stalk me I complained about her and that started a campaign of harassment by police Scotland officers many a threatening phone call and physical assaults by officers in and out of uniform they obviously don't like that I had a complaint upheld against a stalker that should get 7yr jail and my friend was stalked by her pc ex boyfriend to so that's two stalking scumbags who if they were civilian would get 7 yrs jail each but both still working in Scotland my friend was constantly getting her car siezed and harrased by the police for coming forward about her harassment just like they did with me so you can take the" you've obviously got emotional trauma " was it you said I have ? and harking on about me having physiological issues and shove them you complete uttef idiot when you've been attacked and stalked and watched the criminal get away with it only because they wear a uniform not once but twice is beyond a joke idiot but go ahead with calling me emotional unstable with issues etc if that makes you feel big you complete arse/PC more likely
@@0141star Allan what were you doing when you got hospitalised by the police? I'm guessing you were quietly going about your business and a nasty polis decided for no reason to attack you with his baton. Happens all the time......
I could listen to Ben telling his experiences for hours defo a chap id love to share a pint with, keep safe mate some of us do appreciate what you’ve gone through to keep us safe 👍🏻👍🏻
I’m so glad you’ve decided to do these! As much as I can see how difficult they are to tell at times, I’m really grateful you’re sharing your stories. Massive respect ☺️
I'm glad I never became a police officer, but that's just me, I couldnt even handle cadets. Some just arent strong enough. it's a job that will leave you with scars thats for sure. Thankyou for your service, you are appreciated.
Big respect to you mate there's not many people that could do all of the things you describe on this channel. Keep up the great work.
Found this channel recently and I actually love it, I’m 23 and feeling like I’m sat talking to my dad or something listening to life stories. Really enjoying these, thankyou for eveything you have done to keep the public safe in your time in the police. ❤️
Interesting mate. I go operational for GMP in 3 weeks, can't wait. Thanks for sharing all of these stories.
Have you considered doing this to a live crowd after lockdown? Could listen to you for hours haha. Take care Ben
So much respect for anyone putting monsters like that behind bars so they can’t ruin or end anymore lives.
Respect for you Ben ...I watched all Police interceptors...hope you are ok now.
Thank you for your service man!
Your attitude is amazing after all you are going through. I love the book, and feel your pain. I did laugh at the being “pulled off in a field”
😂
This is an absolutely incredible video Ben. I could never see and do some of the things you've seen. Big respect. Keep it up your an inspiration to many.
Really interesting to listen to these whilst I'm working. Please keep them coming, you're a very good storyteller! Also thanks for the work you've done in the force :)
The things our police officers have to face is amazing. I really like your videos.
I love your honesty. Can’t stop watching. Not a massive fan of the police but you are/were a credit
I've got so much respect and admiration for you! Can't wait to hear more 😊
Thank you xxx
Really enjoying this mate, I hope it's helping with the PTSD,. You have a way with words that I'm really enjoying and I'm in the story every time.
So much respect to you Ben and all the brave men and women who put their lives on the line every day protecting us. God bless you all Sir x
Love these stories of you been in the police. Keep them coming! I could listen to you all day. Loved watching you on channel 5 on Monday nights. So glad Ive found this channel.
Wow what a legend! If all police were like him the world would be a better place!
Another fascinating snippet from your life. Thank you for sharing who you are and where you've been.
👊🏻👍🏻
This is really fantastic, the real stories, and saying it how it is
Massive respect to you @BenPearson1965 you are worth your weight in gold. I have mental health issues and it affects my daily life. But to think you were still out there as a Police Interceptor with all your colleagues and the shit you have to endure day in day out, i know you're retired now but i honestly think you the Police are to be respected,i was brought up tp respect Police and our children the same. Ben you are a absolute hero of mine, take care 🙏 ❤️ Mandy x
I love watching your videos as they perfectly document what it was like being an interceptor and give an insight that I never seen before, I give all my respect to you and are thankful for your service and wish you the best in life.
Ben.... i came across your channel about 2 weeks ago and recognised you straight away from telly 😊 i love hearing your stories and as soon as i hear you mention you have a book out i jumped straight onto amazon and read it all the day it arrived i couldnt put it down xxx
Ben, I'm just another faceless man in the street. But I thank you and your colleagues for your service.
Very insightful Ben, i applied for the police myself and got accepted but when i went for the interview i had something in my head telling me to not go through with it and i can now see why. Loved all your episodes of police interceptors, it's just a shame they never give you a real idea of what goes on.
I've watched a lot of your uploads never commented yet, the other day you made me cry, last week i was simply dumbstruck, today I'm glad coppers have that little tell of somat aint right, most of all you have my upmost respect always
This is fascinating, absolutely loving it, watched all your videos so far, keep going!
The videos are great and imagine it helps to be able to talk you should be very proud of your achievements over you career
During your interview, when the guy got out the car you said it was like Jaws from James Bond, I usually call it the high tower moment, from Police Academy, I automatically look at the knees and shins at that point to see if I can get a few difs in when it kick off. As I was trained no matter how big they are they need stability at the knees, never forgot that especially power and body builders. But with technology now why health and safety in danger when tazers are available ( don't know if you had them available to you then or trained in it. )
Love this, I love police interceptors, you and Harry Jeffrey are my favourites
Fascinating stuff, can't wait to hear more, cheers
Just literally stumbled on your channel Ben. Your stories are phenomenal and really show the human side of policing and what you face on a daily basis. What makes they really stand out for me is living on your old patch and knowing the areas and streets you mention. Thank you for sharing, can’t be easy with some of the stories you tell. Have to say though your Daz statement had me doubled over 😂
Fantastic story. Thanks for your service. True hero.
I once had to run from 2 blokes with nothing in their eyes, enjoying your videos Ben, thanks for helping to keep people safe.
I want to join the police when I’m older. You have inspired me to do it even more then I wanted to. Thank you for everything you have done ❤️
Just found your channel on my recommendations, definitely subscribed
I loved the series and I instantly click on these videos. You’re brilliant
Brilliant. Get the bastards off the road, good to hear from a man like you talking out about mental health from where I’m from it’s made me realise a lot. Thanks Ben big respect for you and your colleagues keep up the good work
Xxxxx
Love the stories, nothing but total admiration for you Ben
Great recollections Ben, keep them up, it's like listening (as a kid) to the stories my relative told and tells. I think normal members of the public will really enjoy your recollections. It's funny you mention Bradfords most notorious criminal, yes he was arrested on a hunch due to his Rover initially running on Skoda number plates which had been stolen from my local Scrap yard, Cooper Bridge Spares between Mirfield and Brighouse. You look a bit more at ease with this interview, so that's good.
Have a Happy Easter. Best wishes, look forward to the next one. Ben 🚔🚓🚌🚍😷🇬🇧
im so glad your doing this,i to did the thing with carrying around guilt ,i actually convinced myself i was diffrent that nothing got to me until my exwife had a full on pycotic melt down then im not sure of what went on for the next 2 years then found my new wife who picked me up and began to put me back together ,i still have night tremours, cold sweats, panic attacks, but watching you vids helps me as well thanks .hope you you eventualy find your happy place
Loving the videos and the stories you are giving us an insight into. And personally thank you for your service - it means a lot to me as I am currently within the college of policing for the Metropolitan Police in London! Stay well
turn the audio up in the editor.. can hardly hear it on full volume!
Just found this channel, absolutely fantastic, hooked on it, great insight
Keep going Ben lad 👍👏
Yet another top vid Ben, these are something I look forward to every week, regardless of context or the awful situation you were put in.
A very humanist view once again, of how police have to try to be 'better' than the people they serve. I know I'd have had a very hard time resisting mob rule to mete out some pay back on behalf of the poor bloke these wasters ended. Once again a testament to policing. At a time when people are seeing nothing but sensationalized 'bad' policing, be that in the UK or abroad its good to see reminders that police are in most cases, good people trying to do good and resisting the same temptations as the rest of the public.
Once again massive respect to you for being so open, so calm and so collected in your coverage of some truly mind boggling and difficult circumstances. Head high, carry yourself with pride as ever, can't wait to see some more. These have been excellent, each and every one of them.
Cheers buddy xx
You should be proud of who you are .
Thanks Ben for another great video 👍👍
Subscribed, as others have said, it’s the way you tell the stories, really enjoyable and interesting to watch. Keep them coming 😁👍🏻

Re the end : You should be proud Ben . Not just for the big arrests either.

It's worse than no soul, those people are harmless, the evil in the eyes is different
Quality mate well done. Whats a code 13?
This is tops nice work ben, look after yourself 👍
So, so interesting. Really gives us an insight into the life of a bobby. Brilliant. Thanks for your hard work and for sharing.
Thank you x
Again another brilliant video with some great stories, big admirer of you mate, if i can become half the cop you you have been then i know i did something right.
Interesting Ben but could you please explain the term Police Interceptor?
Never heard of this dept until the tv series. Is it a hybrid of Road Policing and Tactical Ops Support?
Curious.
Keep opening up to the public about your experiences, hopefully it is cathartic for you too. Best wishes.
Always had a bit of a love hate relationship with the police, glad we have them but only ever had run ins with the ones that think there above the law never mind the people around them (never been convicted just being stupid as a kid) but your videos have given me a whole new respect for the police thank you for the work you've done and the sacrifice you've made
You deserve a medal 🏅
Really enjoying theese stroies ben, hope you make it big time 👍
And the fact we still have people who hate the police , well they need to watch these videos and then realise they never could be this brave or do this job
Super interesting videos. (I wish I could understand more Yorkshire!)
Ben please do an audible version of your book.
I'd like to hear a few tales involving the camera guys who were in the Channel 5 series. How did that interaction go. Especially the first times.
When I say "tales", Ben, I mean stories. I can't imagine for one minute you are making any of this stuff up.
Life in prison? Living off the tax payer.
A length of rope and a trap door is much more efficient taking up less room in prison.
My dad a hard working, honest man was attacked on the way home from work by 4 knife man, thankfully they let him go because a car came and scared them off I guess, 2 in the morning and he was walking because it was the summer, he works nights at the hospital.
after the police were called they managed to catch two of them one of them still had a knife on them.
But they didn’t even get any time in prison, went to court I think one of them had to pay 200£ in damages because they ripped his coat but they couldn’t even afford it they settled for £50…..
Which they paid 2.30 a week out of their benefits, what’s the point they are a waste of clean water and clean air.
Absolute pisstake of a justice system.
Loving these mate
Fair play pal, really enjoying your channel. Best wishes. Keep it up! 😉
👍🏻👊🏻
Thank you, all the best. Speed cameras can't do that.
HALIFAX....... oh I'd rather not.
