The Haflinger was designed for narrow mountain paths and small roads, a substitute for the Haflinger HORSE, a race of small, very capable mountain horses in the Alp mountains. It was a everyday "workhrose" for high mountain farmers with seasonal high mountain pastures ("Almen") - and no roads as well as for mountain cottages for hikers and climbers, to haul food, milk, cheese. Its small size and maneuverability make it king in places where today's big 4x4s could not go. It's basiclly misplaced in this setting of meadows with no steep or narrow places.
Hello from Canada. I only just discovered the Haflinger from these vids showing up in my UA-cam feed. I'm in love with these things. It seems like a much better engineered and capable Willys WWII Jeep. Imagine if this had a better articulating suspension system and more aggressive tires. I just wish these came with an automatic transmission so that I could drive it and join in this fun too. (I'm physically disabled.) I am imagine parts must be near impossible to find for these.
When I was a child the estate (yes hunting and shooting) my family lived on had mk1&2 halflingers for use in steep mountainous terrain and for added traction they were fitted with dual wheels on the rear, this made them almost unstoppable. The idea came from our local supplier Richy Mackenzie of Victoria Garage, Brora who still has 2 or 3 in his car collection.
unkaputtbares Auto, recht sparsam zudem. Aber langsam auf der Straße. Suche schon lange einen, alles sehr teuer und ganz wenige Angebote. Im looking for a 703 Ap with Plane esp. from 1971 - 1974, called "Jagdhaflinger", very rare... (((.
There were no such things as "Side by sides" when these were made... (1959-1974) It had/has 500kg of payload, portal axles and diff locks (front and rear).
Машина имеет статистически достоверные проблемы с пересечением водных преград. Видимо проблема состоит в низком расположении двигателя и его воздухозаборников. Мотор глохнет в воде.
UNCLEDOUG SAYS WORMS WOULD BETTER TO RIDE !!! ONE OF THE MOST UNSAFE P O S EVERY BUILT !!!! QUIT BUT NOT MUCH BETTER THAN WATCHING PAINT DRY !! SORRY !!!!!!!!!

Those kids look like they are having a blast! This vehicle is really cool.
Is the next size up a Wholeflinger?
What caused one of them to get stuck in he water when the others had no issues?

They had one at Kildonan Estate, just north of Helmsdale 40-odd years ago. Most other estates up there were buying Argos.
Thanks, love the Haflinger and its big brother the Pinzgauer, both kind of put to rest now with Japanese Kei trucks and UTV's
Bloke in queensland put bobcat wheels on his. Looked great and was ridiculously capable
Вітаю !!!!
Який розмір коліс ???
Looks like a fun ride. I've heard of the Haflinger, but I've never seen one in person, nor have I ridden one myself.
Not exactly the challenging terrain we normally associate with "extreme 4x4 "in New Zealand but love the Halflingers .

Ok so , not that extreme. But still slight chances of a rollover....with kids just standing on the cargo bed. That can go sour really fast. nuff said
Fun ! Yes but ou could do 95% in 2wd
Why get they stuck in water?
What is its engine capacity means power cc ?
643cc, 28 bhp
So cool

Is the 6x6 Hafli a factory product or a private conversion?
Private there where no stock 6x6 only pinzgauers
Better off to go all out and get the Pinzgauer instead

Extreme off-road??? My little suzuki swift would be just fine on these little bumps and little creek crossing.
You‘re right a haflinger is waay more capable than shown in this video
It's not the Haflinger , It's the person driving it.They don't know to control it.
Really?
To much extreme, where is the redbull logo?
好玩!
부럽다..재밌겠다 ㅋ
Threequarterflinger first...
@ 5:40 kid foto bombs video . Lol .
Extreme off-road? Not!!!
The only extreme thing about that was the stupidity of taking children off road in open vehicles with no safety belts.
EXTREME OFFROAD ??---- HA HA HA
Just child's play.
extremely boringly tame just about off roading
