For the supernerds out there, Comics Journal #128 (1989) does a great deep dive on the Spiegelman tip-in “Two-Fisted Painters”. Points out lots of stuff you may miss if not reading it carefully.
Got my copy in a Florida bookstore, after reading a preview interview in the old Comics Feature fanzine. After that, I ordered directly from the publisher. Being on the Raw mailing list meant you got all of the cool ad flyers they sent out. When this stuff arrived, it really peeled the eyes of a lot of us.
Page 21 is illustrated by Mariscal, the Spanish artist who designed Cobi, the mascot for the Barcelona Olympics (1992) amongst many other highlights. He was very much into underground comics back then, doing things like he shows in page 30 and the back cover.
Man, this channel is such an education to me. I've leaned a lot since I started watching. So many new names, so much amazing work outside of mainstream comics that I had no idea of. I get really pumped knowing that there is such a wide variety of great comic books and art in the world.
If anything, at the very least you guys should show RAW #3 because there's an Alan Moore strip in it? But yes, of course, do all of them if you can, that would be AMAZING
Another great video, guys! Please do the Peter Bagge run as editor on Weirdo sometime. It blew my teenage mind back in the day. 🤯 I'd love to hear your take on some of that stuff. Like a lot of great art much of it would be "problamatic", as they say, if done today.

I was in Dave’s comics in brighton in the Uk behind someone ordering Octobriana! Hurrah for international reach!

More Raw, please. Following along with the Read yourself Raw compilation I was stunned by how much good stuff didn't make the re-print.
Definitely hoping for more RAW!
NEED more of these holy shit
Thanks for showcasing.
That Spider-Man #10 being so close at hand is a good sign...are we getting a deep dive into "Perceptions"?
I’ve always wanted to look through Raw so thankyou for this. Very informative as well.
Mind blowing. Thank you! Please do more Raw issues.
The earliest issue I have seen was the torn cover. Y'all got credit for having this.
Guys please get an interview with Art and Francoise about RAW, it would be amazing!
I have that one! Always blew me away!
That was awesome! Cartoonist KAyfabe always delivers and never disappoints.
They should reprint all of the issues in an omnibus or two.

Go through every RAW, like WIZARD, please! And how about some Mark Beyer vids?

Do you have anything on the great Filipino golden age artists like Alex Nino, Tony deZuniga, Redondo, Coching, Alcala, Nebres, Santana et al?
I pre-ordered Octobriana from Book Depository and now they tell me it's out of stock... Feels bad man.
