that is an understatement. This album, Painkiller, is one of the best albums ever. period. Not a single even mediocre track, pure gold from Painkiller to Living Bad Dreams.
Priest never topped my list...not even close, and I wouldn't even call myself a fan (not that I don't like them!). That said...if there could be only one metal album in my life...Painkiller is THE one.
You are right.. 4:49 Judas Priest heard Metallicrap, Anthrax....and had a band meeting, and Shouted, WE DID IT FIRST AND WE ARE BETTER AT IT, PUNKS !!! ... so Painkiller was born.... teaching these punks how TRUE TRASH METAL is made, and sounds !!!!
The solos on this album fit the music better than any other solo ever. Might not be the most technical, but that dirty and sometimes intentionally screechy sound is Heavy Metal perfection.
yeah!!!!! Mr. Rock N Roll!!!!! Great!!!!! Great!!!!! Amazing!!!! No doubt... PainKiller the best album from Judas Priest ever!!!!! Great Hug from Leo (BRAZIL)
I've been a Priest fan since the early 80's and have yet to see them in concert. I would love to see them. Your enthusiasm towards the band is very much respected by me.
Wow that was crazy good :) , You must do Touch of Evil which is amazing off this album. If you want another testosterone burner, do Free Wheel Burning. for another Another live performance try Sinner from 1982 Live Vengeance Tour.
Wow! Kick arse reaction👊🏽. If I remember right this album came out after they got done touring with Slayer opening up for them. I noticed a definite uptick in speed and aggression on this album. I call it the Slayerfy effect..
If you rock to this you need to really really need to check out his band Halford. Locked and Loaded is the one to start out with if you have not heard them. Rock on dude!
Have you, perchance, heard of Ripper Owens? He was the singer who replaced Rob Halford after 1993, and recorded 2 killer albums with Priest. You gotta hear Burn in Hell (studio version) by Judas Priest, you won’t be disappointed
You should REALLY react to Battle Hymn/One Shot at Glory. It's the last Painkiller Song. Personal favourite from the Priest. It has EVERYTHING a Heavy Metal Song should have
Hell yeah dude was pouring up a whiskey scouring the tube and u upload Judas OMFG can it get better start :)? Was actually looking for Ugly kid Joe reactions but you are my fav and Judas never fails so :)
If you've ever watched Robotech, or played Battletech..... This is the perfect theme song to the concept of giant-stompy-robots destroying everything in their path.
I wonder how much you'd like some of the Tim Owens era songs, he replaced Halford for 2 albums. My personal favorite Owens track is One on One from the Demolition album, very heavy. Judas Priest seems to have erased those albums off their channel (pretending they don't exist?) but here's one with great audio... ua-cam.com/video/uKQ8ys1EPV0/v-deo.html&ab_channel=SnakePriest
I would love if someone would check out something from 98 Meltdown. Ripper kills it, it's my second favorite live album from them behind Unleashed in the East. He kicks ass on Metal Meltdown
