I Fixed a Salvage C6 Corvette and it's AWESOME!! (First drive & Price)

We FINALLY get to drive our C6 corvette for the first time and it is AMAZING. In this episode, I also give my quick review of the C6 corvette as well as do a price breakdown of how much it costs to buy a corvette off of Copart and rebuild it by yourself.

The point of this build is to inspire people with not much car rebuilding experience or tools (like me) to go out there and get the car that they want on a budget and rebuild it.

Great job!!! i just got a 2005 manual and loving it doing what your doing on the mods... bought long tube headers, looking for a used snake charmer as the new is 300 plus and ordering a short shifter. Curious i am ordering new tires and wanted to push them out a bit, did you get 1 inch spacers or 1/2 inch? i like the way it looks on yours!!! Once again great job!! I've had several Vettes and love this one the best...

I got 20mm spacers so that’s about 3/4 of an inch. From what I could gather, that is the widest you can safely go on these vettes.

I have a 6 spd 350 hp c5. Test drove a 6 speed c6 400 hp. The 50 more HP was a big difference

You only get great sounds from a Corvette convertible. The pops will scare you. lol. There are some c3's with T-tops and the removable back window but that was it.

@@romagrigorenko No for a stickshift you get more, or a convertible also.. So convertible stickshift with clean Title, low miles you get 15g.🤔🇺🇸Up North your goes 12 to 13g👍

Corey Thompson I joined a c6 corvette group on Facebook and simply posted asking if anyone is selling any. A lot of people end up swapping their panels to the widebody ones and sell their oem panels. So there are plenty of people on there willing to sell them for cheap. If that doesn’t work, try car-part.com
As far as widebody panels, they are a lot more expensive and you’d usually have to buy them new on eBay or other parts sites.

Tibor Makai thanks! .. aha I thought someone would ask. I took it apart to wrap it in carbon fiber. But I failed to wrap it since the shape is tricky. Took it to a shop and they couldn’t do it either. Gonna try one more shop before I reinstall it.

Right on ! I did the same with a C6 thru Copart. All cosmetic damage (except for the rad ). We have a couple of thousand trouble free miles behind us now, I love this car !!
