i reccomend turning shaders off when lighting up dark areas, the shaders don't accurately show light levels. theyre also probably coming form the dark parts of the staircase you made near the water, theres no torches down there. And if youre desperate for food eat the zombie flesh and just dont move, youll heal without losing too much hunger. its useless outside that and selling to potion villagers
I really want to see up to 200 days. The tension and suspense of knowing you can't do things right away but knowing it's just a few days away until the border expands enough is actually great. Especially with as calm, soft, and soothing as your voice is. I understand wanting to switch things up to try to attract more people to your channel, but please come back to this one at some point. I'm sure a lot of us would love to see what the next 100 days could hold.

i usually watch 100 days minecraft videos for the plot and the creativity but when i stumbled on this video i stayed for your voice. not in a creepy way but its very soothing like a good podcast or documentary voiceover. i was also shocked to see 18k subs so I'm excited to be here early in the journey
I watch SooxFar Apex legends videos for the same reason. He's practically always calm and even when he gets excited his voice and demeanor is still calm and smooth.
Hostile mobs can’t spawn outside the border in this game, or any Minecraft with a border. Also, hostile mobs can’t spawn closer than 24 blocks to you. There are resource packs & even shaders that you can download to read light levels when holding a spider eye or light source depending on your settings. I love using it in games like this because when you have to do a lot of caving, it’s great to be able to use the mod to know for sure where mobs can & can’t spawn.
When it comes to areas like your farm and you don’t want to completely terraform the sides to make it a gradual transition to the water, you could try making a retaining wall out of like stone and stone stairs and slabs to it looks “natural” so it could still be several blocks above water level but not look like just a dirt wall or dirt hanging over it. Idk if that makes sense but if you’ve ever seen fwhips videos he does that a lot and it’s a neat way of tackling that issue without spending all the time in the world trying to blend it and sacrifice your building areas.
Love this idea! I just started doing this in my world cuz i was spending so much time terraforming only for it to not look natural in some spots so this has been a muchx better fix in many areas & looks much better!
Hooray! I really love these expanding border challenges. A couple tips about using villagers for armor and tool trades - you can combine enchanted tools, etc. on an anvil to level them up. For instance, two iron swords with sharpness II combined will make a single iron sword witb sharpness III, and two sharpness III will make one sharpness IV, and so on. Also, you can disenchant all the tools, weapons, and armor for which you aren't happy with their enchants on the grindstone to retrieve some extra xp, and then re-enchant them with either an enchant table or books (if you eventually get nerd villagers!) You've got plenty of renewable iron now for anvils and your world is much larger, I'm certain you can find enough lava for enchant table obsidian (or maybe that tiny pool you already found is enough?) Always love your videos and really hope you keep playing this world! Thanks for all the top tier content.

They aren’t spawning in the room with you, they are spawning down below. Also, when dealing with skeletons, take the block out at your feet so you can swipe at their ankles & you can kill them without getting shot.

To get more use from your wood, A stick smelts 0.5 of an item wood planks smelt 1.5 items and logs smelt 1.5 items. So 1 log is 1.5 items or turned into planks 6 or 4 items with sticks, so coal and charcoal is 8 items each if you use 1 log for one charcoal, as long as you use that charcoal to smelt 8 items your getting the most out of your wood, now none of this really matters once you have a good amount of trees but this can let you go caving a lot safer sooner.
Not sure if you already knew this, but you can put carpet on top of fences and can then jump on the fences with carpet to get in and out of animal pens without having to worry about your animals escaping. 😀

Hits different falling asleep to something and waking up to this. It really is a gamble falling asleep to UA-cam, you either wake up to the nether regions of UA-cam or something so nostalgic like this. I missed playing Minecraft back when I was younger.

I think they patched that at some point, but I'd have to look it up. I vaguely remember a UA-camr talking about it and they were working on a few pillagers before the update that would patch it.

I think you’re the first to ask! Last year I started watching 100 day Minecraft videos to escape a bit at the end of the day. I almost primarily watched Paindomination videos which were a huge inspiration. Earlier this year I thought “I could probably give these a try” and dove right in. I wanted to make videos that could do for others what I got out of them. A way to relax and escape for a bit. I’ve been enjoying it a ton!
I watched your 500 days and I'm like this is fun let's see more content of this UA-camr and then I realize this channel is new? Super surprised, I'm sure you will get big pretty soon wp wp❤
You can put slabs in water. They'll still function as a water block and you can walk and place things on it. I use this to make a lantern spot in the middle of my crops. Lanterns also give off more light than torches,but are also more expensive to make yourself. You can buy them from librarians after they reach a certain level and if you're lucky (Trade RNG). I also like to separate out my crops with a line of the water logged stone brick slabs and ive confused a couple of my friends by magically getting water from the stone bricks lol.also,typically,I leave a mote of water around my fence that is usually around my immediate property because (at least in bedrock) creepers cannot destroy blocks if theyre in water,plus it makes it harder for mobs to get in in general and makes it where skeletons have a harder time shooting at you. I hope these help you!
Ive always loved the achievement for getting an iron pickaxe.. its supposed to be a play on "isnt it ironic?" and i think its the most clever thing put into minecraft 😂
You were asking for building ideas and I love what you did with the border of the place with leaf, fence, leaf. Though I think it looks coolest when it is just one post and not the connected fence, so maybe every other block you put a fence? It would still be safe. Or iron bars could look cool
With what you had so far, I would have left that one part completely open except for a small house that I can use as a house/bedroom, and just have the villager trading hall lining the outside of the horseshoe you currently have built
I have never been so stressed listening to you wondering how they are spawning lol they are spawning below you & walking up the stairs lol They can’t spawn at any light level, it has to be zero, but that being said, if even half of the block is at 0, they will spawn there. They are smart enough to try to stay out of direct sunlight which is why they are stopping at the base of your stairs but when they see you they can’t help themselves. Just like how skeletons will purposely walk under trees & to water when burning. Also, always place slabs when leaving a one block whole for baby zombies. Zombies will track you much further than any other mob. So next time make a mining entrance & use a trap door to get up & down. & light up every sing spot ever! lol

Hey just so you know, you actually can craft deepslate bricks in the crafting table, all you have to do is make the smooth deepslate block, then do the same thing with that but with smooth deepslate, and there you have it. I love your content btw.
Like your videos, but i MUST point out that a single plank burns for 15 seconds. Cooks 1.5 items. It would NOT take even close to "all" your 7 planks @ 8:02. In fact, planks burn for the same amout as logs, so it is a massive waste to use them as fuel.

Have boats on you to trap hostile mobs/zombie children, they're a little too dangerous in such an enclosed space. Also, using slabs to cut down on the jumping from block to block would have helped a bit with reducing hunger. Some trap doors to increase visibility while being protected in your dirt hut would have helped you too, as well as blocking off the hole in your bunker to stop hostile mobs from surprising you while you're outside working on your wheat field. I think if you are playing version 1.17 and anything before that, mobs can spawn at light levels of 7 and less which is what it seems is happening since those torches should have definitely kept them all away from spawning nearby.
Not sure if anyone has answered, but cartographers are insanely useful for emerald farming if you have access to a lot of sand. They buy glass panes. I have a couple of cartographers on my desert only world that I transformed from zombie villagers and they give an emerald for 5-6 glass panes. Totally blows fletchers out of the water in terms of emerald output, but the downside is that they don't really have anything great to buy. I just set up my auto-smelters with lava buckets and I only have to check on them every once in a while. Takes longer to trade than it does to smelt the glass honestly.

You realize you could kill the raid captain and then drink milk from the cows to remove the raid effect. Also you can get a bucket of lava and use that to burn the captain and that won’t give you the effect.

If you have dogs they can be healed with rotten flesh. Dog army can make really short work of zombies.

Also jumping uses more hunger then moving. So using stairs or slabs at the start can help you save hunger and make your run less risky.

When levelling up the smiths you can smelt the unwanted iron retools, weapons and armour for more iron .

Love the video! One thing that might help is that in places that you dont need top blocks, you can do bottom slabs to mob proof the area

Earlier this year I thought “I could probably give these a try” and dove right in. I wanted to make videos that could do for others what I got out of them. A way to relax and escape for a bit. I’ve been enjoying it a ton!

Never understood why people think water is necessary for planting in this game. It never was. Just made crops grow faster.

You can put slabs in water. They'll still function as a water block and you can walk and place things on it. I use this to make a lantern spot in the middle of my crops. Lanterns also give off more light than torches,but are also more expensive to make yourself. You can buy them from librarians after they reach a certain level and if you're lucky (Trade RNG). I also like to separate out my crops with a line of the water logged stone brick slabs and ive confused a couple of my friends by magically getting water from the stone bricks lol.also,typically,I leave a mote of water around my fence that is usually around my immediate property because (at least in bedrock) creepers cannot destroy blocks if theyre in water,plus it makes it harder for mobs to get in in general and makes it where skeletons have a harder time shooting at you. Oh! Kelp is an amazing unlimited coal replacement for smelting 😊
Kelp blocks can burn 15-20 blocks at once. Thats why I use kelp blocks.
Ive always loved the achievement for getting an iron pickaxe.. its supposed to be a play on "isnt it ironic?" and i think its the most clever thing put into minecraft 😂
A little helpful tip. instead of waiting for the grass to grow, use some wheat seeds on dirt blocks to speed up the process

You were asking for building ideas and I love what you did with the border of the place with leaf, fence, leaf. Though I think it looks coolest when it is just one post and not the connected fence, so maybe every other block you put a fence? It would still be safe. Or iron bars could look cool

With what you had so far, I would have left that one part completely open except for a small house that I can use as a house/bedroom, and just have the villager trading hall lining the outside of the horseshoe you currently have built
If you plant flowers by oak or birch trees you could get bees when a tree grows citizen 😊
I have never been so stressed listening to you wondering how they are spawning lol they are spawning below you & walking up the stairs lol They can’t spawn at any light level, it has to be zero, but that being said, if even half of the block is at 0, they will spawn there. They are smart enough to try to stay out of direct sunlight which is why they are stopping at the base of your stairs but when they see you they can’t help themselves. Just like how skeletons will purposely walk under trees & to water when burning. Also, always place slabs when leaving a one block whole for baby zombies. Zombies will track you much further than any other mob. So next time make a mining entrance & use a trap door to get up & down. & light up every sing spot ever! lol
I enjoyed watching your progression on this and would live to see more 100 day movies on this expanding border idea.

Hey just so you know, you actually can craft deepslate bricks in the crafting table, all you have to do is make the smooth deepslate block, then do the same thing with that but with smooth deepslate, and there you have it. I love your content btw.
Like your videos, but i MUST point out that a single plank burns for 15 seconds. Cooks 1.5 items. It would NOT take even close to "all" your 7 planks @ 8:02. In fact, planks burn for the same amout as logs, so it is a massive waste to use them as fuel.
That is great to know - in my head I'm thinking "4 planks per log, must burn different right?" But that's Minecraft logic for you. Thanks for the tip!

I cried when legion used oak logs as fuel for charcoal when he had no wood to spare
Have boats on you to trap hostile mobs/zombie children, they're a little too dangerous in such an enclosed space. Also, using slabs to cut down on the jumping from block to block would have helped a bit with reducing hunger. Some trap doors to increase visibility while being protected in your dirt hut would have helped you too, as well as blocking off the hole in your bunker to stop hostile mobs from surprising you while you're outside working on your wheat field. I think if you are playing version 1.17 and anything before that, mobs can spawn at light levels of 7 and less which is what it seems is happening since those torches should have definitely kept them all away from spawning nearby.
Not sure if anyone has answered, but cartographers are insanely useful for emerald farming if you have access to a lot of sand. They buy glass panes. I have a couple of cartographers on my desert only world that I transformed from zombie villagers and they give an emerald for 5-6 glass panes. Totally blows fletchers out of the water in terms of emerald output, but the downside is that they don't really have anything great to buy. I just set up my auto-smelters with lava buckets and I only have to check on them every once in a while. Takes longer to trade than it does to smelt the glass honestly.

I kinda like watching people who seem "newer" to minecraft bc I like feeling better about my knowledge. Btw use planks not logs to smelt, to make deepslate bricks u make the polished first(then you make the bricks or you have to make the tiles first i dont remember).

You realize you could kill the raid captain and then drink milk from the cows to remove the raid effect. Also you can get a bucket of lava and use that to burn the captain and that won’t give you the effect.
