@@donnelleeustache4549 That's what a lot of runners do; but from what I've observed, the best performances come from gradually opening up to the racing pace over the 1st 100-150 meters and then allowing momentum to carry you down the rest of the back stretch (not visibly slowing down)
@@drtslim thanks for the info....back in high school I was the worst in the 400m..because I simply didn't know how to run it...but I was the fastest in the 100m and 200m
How fast do have to run in the first 100 in the 400m?
The best men tend to run the 1st 100m in ~11 seconds
