Tobacco Oud is one of my all time favorites and one of my best smells ever! I broke my vintage bottle last year, but just got a tester of the current formulation from a local reseller. It's OK. Ganymede is addicting! The hype is well deserved. Amouage Royal Tobacco is the most powerful fragrance in my collection. Armani Code Profumo is almost at the same level of performance.
Great list man I need to try baruti and promise. I love tobacco oud but I think it was definitely reformulated because I got a sample in 2019 then couldn't find it for the longest time finally bought a bottle and smells great but much weaker. Idk maybe just me?
Hey João ...one question to help me picture the smell of the labdanum that you mentioned in the lion...So I live in a very unique portuguese wine region, the Douro valley, that, during this time of the year, is full with this type of labdanum call rock rose or "esteva" (also the name of a popular affordable portuguese red wine), and people say that you can sometimes smell this in our wines..To me it has a strong pheromonic, pollen, deep wild floral scent...is this close to the typical perfume note in perfumery?
I have the Guerlain!!!!! and now you're showing Le Lion too 🥲 really torn what to get next from Chanel, cos I'd prefer to get the 200ml. This list is super great!😊

Great list. Honey tobacco smells to me like a mix of xerjoff 40 knots and tobacco vanille from tf. Le lion is great since shalimar is dead, i find them very similar I laughed when u said promise is boarderline animalic, to me this is animalic bomb due to sweaty cumin effect, its also a beastmode fragrance, my girlfriend hate it so much that i was not allowed to wear it so had to sell it. I prefer Moon from same collection way over it. I dont get strong performance from tobacco oud, not a bad performance but definetly not a beast mode, prob due to skin chemistry
In as much as there might be some claim that Joao ALWAYS INCLUDES GANYMEDE then thats not true. I didnt see Ganymede in the video before this. That already eliminates the always claim. 😅 Kidding aside, if he loves it, expect it to make every list. Yet, he has been objective in mentioning the fragrance. Truth be told with the note breakdown of Ganymede, i think it touches a lot of note families and its also a performer so it will truly make a lot of lists. Its a masterpiece and a fragrance that Joao and myself agree on. Its simply the best in my opinion.

I bought one year ago tobacco oud and lasts 4 hours and poor projection .Years ago was a beast
