yeah last week i honestly kinda gave up on shanghai when they lost to eg. they were clearly hella tired and they need to recover over this playoff/shanghai period
Yeah, we already saw the result of the dogshit schedule with FNATIC last year after Tokyo, they barely had time to change things and bring new ideas for Champs, which is one of the reasons they didn't get very far. It's honestly kind of frustrating that we get these splits where you don't get to see the best that teams have to offer because they are always getting screwed over because they overperformed in another tournament and whatnot. I don't mind them not making Shanghai, as long there are other NA teams to watch and support, I'll be there for it.
imo it was a similar thing with fnatic last year, and my cope answer is that it's affected them this year, at least before madrid. they were clearly burnt out at the end of 2023, and then just had to recoup so they didn't do as much as they should coming into this year. really tough for both teams
@@wonyo2563 they played the most games from the off season to finals of that tourney. Its not just 1 tourney but playing double the games of the next closest team. If you are ignorant its fine but don't be so arrogant about it lol
It is a lot easier to turn into Thanos when the other team is underperforming. If your team is playing well, you get confidence in your play. Even more if you're playing the Master's Madrid Champs. Even more when you dominated them in consecutive rounds. If SEN was playing good, there would be more uncertainty from the other team, and their play would be average with every other game they play.
After him saying this and if they somehow managed to still qualify for playoffs with everything playing in a specific way would be so sad in a way, because I think they want to prepare for the stage 2
With this loss it’s a VERY close to 0 chance. It’s not impossible, but SO many things have to go exactly perfect and if even a single round goes wrong they are out. Basically they need G2 to get 2-0’d and in convincing fashion. Like G2 not getting more than like 2 rounds per map (potential they could have to get even less for the round diff, I haven’t mathed it out yet). They also need both Loud and EG to lose their next matches. They also need to basically 13-0 BOTH maps against Furia cause if they even drop a map to Furia they’re out. They need to basically 13-0 to make up the round diff since G2 is currently 24 rounds ahead of SEN. It’s not a 0 chance, but it’s probably not even 1%.
Even if they were to qualify, there really is no chance they win in playoffs, so it doesn't really matter either way, it would just drag it out further.
Tbh Zekken is right imagine playing non stop everyday without stop from the first split to then playoffs to masters and now this split is insane no break or barely a break but this next week they got one. Goated interview Pedro, your interview skills have been getting better and better, and you ask some of the most insightful questions of the interviews Ive seen. Keep it up
Considering that they have enough rest, the stress with the start of the split with the whole situation with johnqt's passport issues, and there you'll start to see that burnout is not impossible. Additionally, they would have to innovate on-the-spot with their gameplay and strat because of how many VODs of them are out there for other teams to counter-strat or read, the other teams obviously stepping up, I don't think it's cope to say that they are still the best team in Americas right now and they will bounce back for Champs. Goated interview since we get a reality-check as viewers and fans that these pros are humans still and they are as prone to stress and burnout just like the rest of us.
Not to complain about format but I don't understand why sen didn't get a bye week after winning madrid. Like they literally got nothing for winning. But everyone in the other group did even though they had the entire madrid event to take a break.

Because they also practice as well it’s not like they just stop 😂 like that’s how teams anti strat each other they also look back at what they did wrong like cmon think ppl they just need time
GenG and PRX are not playing in a difficult league. Also Sentinels played a lot in the off season as well. The lower levels of America would smash mid level APAC teams.
you have to take in consideration how they don't have a conventional playstyle. APAC playstyle is summarized with "W key one tap", with exceptions like DRX or GenG being able to control tempo. They don't have to prepare set plays, protocols as much as American teams because most of their playbook relies much on their individual aim and playing off each other, compared to SEN where the team leans toward strategies (with Kaplan, DrewSpark, johnqt being very heavy towards strategy), and with this lack of time, they don't have time to cook up something good, and they also have high expectations from winning madrid
sentinels had around 1 week to practice for the regular season post madrid, while the other teams had been practicing for a long long time. also, teams have more Sen vods to review, so yes, sentinels and gen.g were always in a disadvantage coming into this season and it shows by the results, gen.g is only qualifying cuz apac is a 3 team region
Loud and Sentinels just got back from Madrid and had visa issues. Meanwhile, there's like 7 teams had a long gap to prepare for their upcoming matches when Loud and Sentinels don't even have time to maintain their form.
