them playing by far the most maps from the off season till now honestly makes the burnout pretty realistic. I hope they make it cause I like them competing but its probably good if they miss it cause they can reset, chill, and look to innovate for champs. If they went to shangai then to had to play another split then go to champs, they arguably may be even worse. regardless wish them the best.

yeah last week i honestly kinda gave up on shanghai when they lost to eg. they were clearly hella tired and they need to recover over this playoff/shanghai period

Yeah, we already saw the result of the dogshit schedule with FNATIC last year after Tokyo, they barely had time to change things and bring new ideas for Champs, which is one of the reasons they didn't get very far. It's honestly kind of frustrating that we get these splits where you don't get to see the best that teams have to offer because they are always getting screwed over because they overperformed in another tournament and whatnot. I don't mind them not making Shanghai, as long there are other NA teams to watch and support, I'll be there for it.

imo it was a similar thing with fnatic last year, and my cope answer is that it's affected them this year, at least before madrid. they were clearly burnt out at the end of 2023, and then just had to recoup so they didn't do as much as they should coming into this year. really tough for both teams

It is a lot easier to turn into Thanos when the other team is underperforming. If your team is playing well, you get confidence in your play. Even more if you're playing the Master's Madrid Champs. Even more when you dominated them in consecutive rounds. If SEN was playing good, there would be more uncertainty from the other team, and their play would be average with every other game they play.

With this loss it’s a VERY close to 0 chance. It’s not impossible, but SO many things have to go exactly perfect and if even a single round goes wrong they are out. Basically they need G2 to get 2-0’d and in convincing fashion. Like G2 not getting more than like 2 rounds per map (potential they could have to get even less for the round diff, I haven’t mathed it out yet). They also need both Loud and EG to lose their next matches. They also need to basically 13-0 BOTH maps against Furia cause if they even drop a map to Furia they’re out. They need to basically 13-0 to make up the round diff since G2 is currently 24 rounds ahead of SEN. It’s not a 0 chance, but it’s probably not even 1%.

Not getting to play-off is disappointing for sure but i think its necessary for them to step back a bit with proper practice to maybe come up with new comps and tactics. We can all see that the way they played at stage 1 is literally the same to what they did at kickoff and madrid. Considering that they have enough rest, the stress with the start of the split with the whole situation with johnqt's passport issues, and there you'll start to see that burnout is not impossible. Additionally, they would have to innovate on-the-spot with their gameplay and strat because of how many VODs of them are out there for other teams to counter-strat or read, the other teams obviously stepping up, I don't think it's cope to say that they are still the best team in Americas right now and they will bounce back for Champs.

you have to take in consideration how they don't have a conventional playstyle. APAC playstyle is summarized with "W key one tap", with exceptions like DRX or GenG being able to control tempo. They don't have to prepare set plays, protocols as much as American teams because most of their playbook relies much on their individual aim and playing off each other, compared to SEN where the team leans toward strategies (with Kaplan, DrewSpark, johnqt being very heavy towards strategy), and with this lack of time, they don't have time to cook up something good, and they also have high expectations from winning madrid

Bro what are you saying. Obejctively speaking SEN has been playing since before the season (winning Afreeca). Even if we don't count that, Sentinels played the most amount of games during Kickoff and managed to win that. They fought from the demon group to get into playins, winning playins to get into playoffs, to win playoffs and get 1st seed for Madrid. Thats not even counting the fact that Americas were the last region to finish kickoff so they barely had any break time between breakoff and getting ready for Madrid. At Madrid they played both EMEA teams basically back to back with little to no prep time for KC (they had the later game for TH then the first game for KC). They had like 5 fcking days of break (not even considering they have to prep to for playoffs). They win loud and immediately next day have to play against GENG. Barely have time to process their loss cause now they have to play PRX. Then after play in a grueling 5 match series where they came in at a disadvantage and still won. Then had visa issues for the beginning of stage 1 and barely any time to fix their form considering other teams now have had a whole month to prep and rework WITH A SHET TON OF VODS TO USE AGAINST SEN. Like bffr. It can't always be an excuse but SEN being burnt out is actually a proper reasoning considering their fcking match history. Im pretty sure they still hold the record for 2024 for most amount of games played rn. Tell me you know nothing and just hating without telling me you know nothing.
