It's so interesting looking back at her audition, because she was coming in before American Idol was a thing at all, with no nervousness or sense of scale. Auditioning for the first season was different to any other season, but especially more recent seasons. It'd be fascinating to look through the multiverse into a universe where she only auditioned for... season 15 or something, and see how it differed.

Carrie is still the best American Idol winner of all time! She’s got the voice, star quality, personality & stage presence. Randy, Paula, and Simon are still the best set of judges. Simon could be a jackass and harsh, but he made the show entertaining and was funny and brutally honest, he doesn’t have a filter and he tells it like it is. I see that Kellie Pickler did well for herself. Successful singing career. Won Dancing with the Stars. Pickler and Ben was on for awhile. Always going on USO tours. This is amazing she did all this while terrible relationship with her mother and not too long ago losing her husband to a suicide. Amazing she is still trying to hold it together.
