One of my dreams was to meet this man. Sadly he passed away before I could. But in March last year 2020 I stood on his stage in Beale street Memphis. A dream came true for me that day.
Met him five times from '86 to 2000, including a chat in the dressing room in between shows. Every time, one of the nicest, most gracious people on the planet. You'll never hear anything else about him.

My wife used to live next door to him in Memphis and his cat used to come over and get a feed from her and he would come out and get his cat back from her, she said the same, a very kind abs gentle man. She showed me where his house was and where she lived. Ever since I was a kid I wanted to meet him. I was truly honoured to stand on his stage and get a photo by the establishment. You are very fortunate. I never thought I would ever be in Memphis, but my dream came true last year all the way from Australia
