Their first album had 13 original songs without a single cover. Moriah was 20 when it was released, Ashley and Bella were 18 and their original drummer, Brooke, was 17. Their second release, an EP, has 5 original songs and one cover, "Barracuda". They've recorded 19 songs and only one of them is a cover. For some perspective, the first Rolling Stones album was made up entirely of covers except for three original songs. As a matter of fact, their first few albums largely consist of covers.
This is one of their best. They have several that are all pretty good and a couple so so, but they definitely have a good time playing live and put on a great show. My one and only piece of live music memorabilia is one of Bella's guitar picks. I was looking in another direction as they were tossing things to the crowd after their last song and barely noticed something hit me in the chest. Looked down and there it was at my feet. I definitely want to try to go see them again when they do their headlining tour in a few months.
They make for an awesome show especially paired with TW. What is really good is how comfortable and relaxed they all are on stage. Like is easy but definitely not boring. Tells you they could do even more if they wanted. And so humble off stage.
I’ve been following Plush for a while now and they just keep getting better. Great song and love the tone. Moriah has Ann Wilson quality vocals. She can really belt it out! Awesome!
Saw them open for The Warning 4 times last year. Amazing and sky is the limit for these 4. They are opening for Disturbed currently. Wish they were coming through Atlanta on that tour but unfortunately not. You are 100% right about the likeness to 10000 fists in the air. They did an amazing cover of man in the box as well.
Been following them for a few years now, when Moriah was still a solo act. I'm so glad this band exists. They're young enough that they might see a day when Rock is once again accepted by the mainstream, and their success will match their talent and passion. Their new EP is on the way to my house in the mail and I can't wait!
Holy shit they've been hanging out with Halestorm.. & The Warning of course... They've got it.. all of it . I've heard them before but I don't remember this.. F- Yeah.. 🤘🎶☮️
this is definitely 1 of their strongest songs, they just need to put together a solid body of work together, while their latest EP was ok it could of been stronger given that this song was the first release after the change of Drummer and logo rebrand, they definitely got everything that they need to be successful
Yep, they have everything you can want in a hard rock band, just need more bangers like this one. Listened to their latest release on repeat during a long run and other than this one, can't remember any of the other ones. And that's really the problem with a lot of music out there, plenty of talent, it's just that songwriting is a very difficult thing to master. So when a band like The Warning come along and just crank out memorable song after song, you got to wonder what's in the water down there in Monterrey.
I felt there was a Queen style of vocals only, guitar only, vocals only in the intro. I also hear the Ten Thousand Fists influence during that bridge. Rock/Metal is not dead. The future is with female bands like The Warning, Band-Maid, Plush, and many, many others.
Moriah did some dates in December with Trans Siberian Orchestra. Her rendition of "This Isn't What We Meant" is tear inducing. ua-cam.com/video/isCfjTa7lxI/v-deo.htmlsi=KA6-WtIO2eLeXPLd
I love your reactions but, being a little older than you, I always chuckle at your comments because we have some very different differences in music - the old stuff! I love Baracuda. But I grew in Vancouver in the 70s and there were no, none, zero, female led rock bands, except Heart. And they were adopted by Vancouver because being female led, they could not get a record deal in the US. A little known studio in Vancouver, Mushroom Studios, took them on and gave them a chance. So we adopted them. To this day, Anne is considered the greatest female rock vocalist of all time - however, everyone saying that, has not heard Floor Jansen (hint, hint. ua-cam.com/video/JYjIlHWBAVo/v-deo.htmlsi=FK2SKVTrt4AVsDbq). Anyways, different ages, different influences. And I won’t bring up KISS………. Because I know they are your favourite band! 😉😊😅
No worries, It's cool if ya do no not like KISS, I get it. And I can take differing opinions, it makes for good discussion. I guess that is what separates us older generations from the newer. I Love Heart, Anne is a goddess with golden pipes to be sure. I do not hate Barracuda or Magic Man type Heart. But I LOVE Alone, These Dreams era of Heart.
@@maneeventmedia. Well, here’s my challenge, the same Floor Jansen I mentioned above, the lead singer for Nightwish, covered Alone. I’ll edit this post with a link (ua-cam.com/video/1fu-yP6q6Gk/v-deo.htmlsi=IAGMqSYDtEMzw4ke). But I do think you should check out Nightwish. There’s a commonality between The Warning fans and the Nightwish Army (and you will meet Gabriel, the greatest representative of any fanbase that exists). But be careful, once you enter European metal, you’ll be diving down a huge rabbit hole! BTW - at the time, my older brother was a huge fan of of KISS but I was a fan of the Bay City Rollers😅😂…….. we all grow up, eventually….
@@northof4912 Hint taken. I kind of remember hearing something from Nightwish well over a decade ago, seems like I thought they were too heavy for me. BUT, I will check your link and go from there... watch for it!
Saw them open for The Warning last year. These girls definitely rock live.
Plush opening for The Warning was a hell of a one two punch!
Glad you find Plush to your liking… they are a powerhouse and play rock as rock should be played

I saw them in San Diego opening for The Warning. Solid band with a world-class singer. Fantastic live show.

Plush always bring it. She can wail & I’m here for it!

I saw them open for The Warning in NYC and Philly...SOLD! Can't wait to see them again in NJ and Baltimore!

wow whats going on with plush, man that was pure fire! Thanks for sharing!! that other chick on guitar had some nasty riffing going on too
Blew me away... Love them
That other chick is Bella Perron, and she can really rip when she wants to.
Great reaction, they opened for the warning. They are great, and loved the song.
Women are legit killing it in rock and metal these days.
Not only killing it but kind of taking over.
What band has a better singer than that? Insane how good she is.
They are second favorite new group I saw them with the warning last year
Killer song live as well. 🤘🤘

Funny you mentioned Disturbed , that’s who they are currently touring with lol
No shit? haha that would be a good show!
Moriah 😍Gorgeous.

There is almost nothing Moriah can't sing. Check out Athena from their first CD.

@@maneeventmedia. Nightwish can be anything, they do light and heavy. The link I gave is Ghost Love Score, it’s got a lot in it.

Very derivative. I heard kiss. I heard an old blues/r and b vocal pattern. Yuck.
