Didn't know this. I could have used this just 30 minutes ago. I used the marquee tool to get a circle crop. This would have been more useful. I now have it bookmarked for future use.

Hi Jesus, Once we make an elliptical frame/crop how can we add a border line around the perimeter of the oval frame (I'd like to make mine a visibly thick - not crazy thick - black) to differentiate it from a new color background I add behind the oval? TIA! Oops, I figured it out! Drew ellip. marquee around the shape on a stamp layer above my framed oval shape, then used Edit > Stroke. (I tried to channel you to figure it out! ;-) )

YOU must right click circle in layer pallet and there choose export- (this will export the square crop).. DO NOT.. do from File in tool bar this doesn't work (Exports whole image size) MUST save as png!! Hope this helps you.

Slect the frame layer, right-click and select stroke, there you can choose the color and the width of the stroke

Layer unlocked. Still creates a new layer up top and doens't crop the image. Driving me crazy. Haha.
PS always creates a new blank layer rather than putting a frame over the current layer. Any suggestions?
