Build it on the side of a hill. Make a platform with a pit in the end. Guarantee it falls into it. Then taming is easy. Just put door on the side of the bottom to let it exit
Would using a ramp to lead it up so it drops into the cage work? I'm guessing it would just fly out but it might be worth a try. I know that was a good style of trap in Ark.
I remember when this game came out, It was fun but broken and I only put 30 hours into it. Hope it is better now, looks really different. [Does that one spell that allows you to tear building still work in PvE?]

Why do it on foot when you can build a trap far easier? I see you tried traps later in the video but yeah....for grounded critters use a drop trap (ark)...then its far easier than the trap you tried. GL Wizard Larry
@@NOOBLETS traps work. Just not the kind you tried in this video. Drop trap would be way more effective. Also from what i hear the next patch will not have grounded dragons anymore? Making the use of effective traps even more viable. The ai is too smart (or dumb?) Usually, for the simple tunnel traps. I was hoping in fact that you had made a batter trap than myself but i think mine are way better 😋

Awesome thanks for showing us the proper cage to build and how to tame a dragon.
I find it quicker to just tank it when it comes to tames. Just need the right equipment and spells it's heaps easier.

I m a Ark Player since Beta, also having a look now at Citadel.
I think you can tame them by them staying out and you stay in the pen. :) they can't get to you but you can get them lol seems easy.
Animals flee when taming or suffer too much damage. And dragons are faster than you, so it would just fly away after you hit it for a while.

Does the tame timer run out while offline?
it runs down yes so you need to make sure its fed for the night

Technically. But at long as they're "fed" they are permanent
Kind of but there easy to feed so you can basically keep them as long as you want
