Looking at those 1965 Pete Rose cards. One of my favorites. I have 2 of them, centered and sharp corners. My dad and I kept a log of all the cards we bought back in the early 80s and we picked both of them up for $8.50 each. At the same show, I picked up a 65 Carlton rookie for $12.50 and a Schmidt rookie card for $15.00. My dad and I left the book on the table and my mom went through it and flipped out on how much money we spent on those 4 cards. My dad passed away last year and my mom told me to go through all the cards and take them to my house. I stopped collecting in the early 90s but going through all of the cards my dad and I collected has brought me back into the hobby. I still have all of our cards from 1971 up until the 90s. It kind of makes me feel like my pops is still with me when I break open current boxes while watching your channel. Keep up the great work with your videos. Your enthusiasm is unparalleled from all of the other card breaking channels on UA-cam. Have a great Thanksgiving.

Whatnot is really no different than ebay. As long as you stay with a good group of sellers, your experience won't be bad at all. I've bought there with minimal issues and I'm doing my first selling on there, hopefully on Black Friday.

There was a new card shop opened near here a year or so ago called uncle Sam’s collectibles in East Freedome but I don’t know if it’s still open or not.

Why break up the 75 set? I don’t get set breaks. Seems like a waste.
Totally agree. The original owner of that set put in a lot of time trying to complete it. Seems like a waste to break apart. He must be only interested in making as much money off of it as he can. If I had the money to buy that I would have cherished it and kept it complete.
I’ve purchased a lot on whatnot and not had a single issue. There are plenty of good sellers and breakers. In fact, some of my most expensive pulls came from breaks I couldn’t even watch.

Those prices on the top loaders remind me of Mr Mint lol. I met him once at a card show. Seemed kinda arrogant. BUT Mr Mint was a legend!
There is a a couple of Joe Morgan’s cards from the mid 1960s that have the same picture
Looks like most cards are not graded. Will be difficult on pricing
Whatnot gave your brother a bunch of free stuff to sell on his auction like an 82 Topps bbce box 82 traded ripken and a 65 mantle bunch of other good stuff

Good luck on your new What Not journey sir. I see a lot of negative comments on here about that platform and those are legit concerns. But I personally think if all us loyal followers trust you like we have all these years and let you do what your really good at this platform could be a place where you can expand on what you do for the hobby. And if things get shady and go against what you have created you will do the right thing. You Tube has shady people and scammers on it just like What Not. All I’m saying is don’t count Erik out just because he is trying something new out all the time and energy he gives his viewers and the hobby the least we can do is show up on Friday non judgmental and support the person that kept the hobby alive for us past couple of tough years.
