Seventeen is called the king of synchronization and the first self-producing group in kpop. They are the performance powerhouse group because all 13 members can dance professionally. They also have amazing vocals and rappers!
Yes we know 13 members are a lot digest BUT once you dive into them you will understand every single member is essential to the group!!! They are so so talented!!!
Can you tell me how they are self-produced group? Like their producer members and prominent self prod songs? I really like Stray Kids known also as self-prod group and just knew that svt too so I’m curious bc I have a serious mad respect to these kind of artists

No problem! I hope I can find a recent article written by South Korean news talking about how seventeen is the first and the most prominent self-producing kpop group. But basically Woozi, Scoups, Vernon are involved in song producing and lyrics writing since debut becuz Pledis just couldn’t afford producers. They’ve only worked with Bumzu as the main producer (Woozi as another main producer). Also keep in mind that other members have written lyrics themselves. Jeonghan just released his solo song “dream” yesterday composed by himself. And almost all the members can play instruments so they have the abilities to produce and have formed a band on the stage beofre.
Apart from it, Hoshi, Dino and the performance team heavily engaged in the choreography process. Hoshi even choreographed mamamoo's egoistic cover 30 mins before the stage.
There are more to talk about but I’ll leave this info so to give you an idea of why Seventeen truly owns the title. pls let me know if you have other questions 😊

He has 100+ song under his name. All members participate for lyrics writting. And even all 13 members have songs under their name. They also cherograph their own song . Hoshi who is a main dancer performance unit leader he is main cherographer who make cherography along with seventeen other performance unit members and some cherographer. Not only that seventeen makes their own fanchant. Seventeen also participate to make designs for their merchants. Mingyu( member) who helps to make design of their lighsticks. svt can also make mv. There is 2 songs made by themselves. Mingyu and wonwoo who make video for mv directed and edited by themselves. Seventeen also does dividing and managed their work for the concerts management like lightning, stage decorations, etc. All members are divided their work for everyone management in concerts. They also participate for designing their albums. They also participate to make content for their variety show (going seventeen). That's why they are given title by k -nitizens. K -media 'Self producing idol'. The title is not given by fans. It is given by k- industry.

YOOO YOURE FINALLY CHECKING OUT SEVENTEEN! Not sure if you know this but they're under the same label as some of your other favourite groups (BTS, TXT, Enhypen). That label has two other groups you haven't checked out so I highly recommend looking at some Nu'est and Fromis_9 when you have time! That label has some really good groups that you seem to like so I hope you consider! (and no worries about fully stanning, kpop is about the music at the end of the day as long as you can appreciate that, its good)

don’t feel pressured to react to a ton of different groups back to back! if you’re comfortable just sticking with Blackpink, Stray Kids, etc and that content is working for you and new groups stress you out, then don’t worry! especially if it’s groups like Seventeen, The Boyz, IZ*ONE or Loona who all have/had 11+ members lol, you can always just casually listen to / react to the music and not worry about delving deep and learning names yet.

This one made me so happy 😭 I know the amount of members is super overwhelming, but it's so worth it man. Seventeen is my ult group, they are so talented and hilarious, but of course you don't have to learn all of their names or anything to enjoy their music! Also if someone hasn't already explained it, before they debuted they did originally have 17 members, but 4 of them didn't end up staying in the group. Now they explain it as: there are 13 members, 3 units (vocal, performance, hip hop), and 1 whole team. So 13+3+1 = 17. Kinda silly lol but yeah there used to be 17 of them LOL
