one of the mighty roots era harmony duos, Vernon Buckley and Gladstone Grant. Wonderful voices blending together. They started at the very beginning of the reggae era, releasing singles in 1968. This post is a fine example of their mature style. From vinyl, mate, , just the way it should be! Thanks for this excellent upload!
thanks :)
Big shout out to Maytones from back in the day's May Pen, and the Seven's Rd Crew also the farm crew
Yes, man. These are great songs and great singers, wonderful band! This is true... Jah music!
Thanks for the information

I want to thank whoever put this here and to appreciate UA-cam for providing the platform.
This took me far back! It brings back great memories, memories of my innocence and love for music.
God bless us all.
Thank to all my fans and all the music lovers . My name is music captain udoka Kalu
amen.for me massive emotions and memories
I heard this piece for the first time at Enugu (Nigeria) about 1976/77 while on long term holidays as a high school student. My taste for it has never changed till this day. One of the best renditions of reggae music.
Poxa muita pancada mais velha do que eu dois anos mais também quando fiquei mais grandinho ouvi muito na exposição em bacabal Maranhão
This was the lead on Burning Sounds' red vinyl sampler. Everytime I played it, this was the perfect start to a truly epic record label showcase. Putting "Mighty" in your groups name was a thing in the late 70's. It was truly deserved for them. Mighty harmony mon. Thank you.
Heads up to my wonderful ex father in law .... a white man born in Jamaica 🇯🇲 who bought them to my life much respect......Always ❤️🇬🇧💯
I remember my dad playing this album all the time. I love reggae so much ❤️
In my humble opinion, this album belongs to the list of Top Twenty All-Time Reggae albums. No apologies!
i agree
Don't apologise
You are absolutely right.

I agree completely
The joy I had the first time I saw this music in U tube. It brings tears to my eyes because my uncle who had the collection is dead, all the good people we enjoyed it together are dead. The blending is so excellent, thanks to this duo for this gift to man kind.may God bless them.
100%. This was when music was part of life, Food for the soul. These are Angels. I remember my teen-age years. Music is dead! OMG!
Not quite so my brethren. The reason just changed with the seasons. Music isn't dead; it just got wayward. Great music as such used to be created as an expression of rare talent. Nowadays, an attempt is made in pursuit of bread on the table...
I remember when my dad bought this album i was about 7 years old, we couldn’t stop playing it, the harmonies just blew you away. Top album.
They do not make music like this anymore relax the soul and the body and mind
Excelente que maravilla.
70/80 esto fue lo mejor del reggae roots auténtico 🇧🇴.
Nota. A los 90 que no os gustó no lleváis esto en el ❤️
This is the type of music that brings out the beauty of life
Thanks!!
True dat man
Easy Maytones!
Real Muzik keep the Fyah Blazing!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯%
I grew up listening to this monstrosity of an album. My dad was a badass music collector. I just had to look for it again. I am feeling seriously nostalgic.
Fantastically Brilliant Album, True Classic Reggae! Note:
Typo error: Song number 5 on the tracklist should read "Funny Man" and not father and mother.
Funny Man is the original version from 1970. Father & Mother has the same lyrics but it's a remake for this album.
Love the Burning Sounds 12" singles and LPs so much!!! Straight out and up from the sweetest spot in the evolution of reggae music--UK "pop" reggae, mislabeled a just a tad. This one never made it far enough west or east for me to wrap my ears around it's exquisiteness. Big up gratitude to Rastawelt you have a brand new (second hand) subscriber in WA.
Here in 2022!!?
Great work by greatest Reggae artists. I pray we will reach Zionland.
Classic. Harmonies blend in perfectly. I am reminded of the movie Rockers and the song Money Worries

Ele teve aqui em São Luiz em 2019 o show foi massa
This were prophetic songs. Is it not MADNESS all over the world today? Otherwise why will a nation invade another sovereign nation without any just course and other so called powerful nation seat back talk and talk with no meaningful action. If Operation Desert Storm was this all talk, Saddam Hussain would have taken over Kuwait 🇰🇼.
Great music from great mind. Wonderful for our generation to learn and to apply and the messages and the lyrics.

First listened to this music about 1978 and it nlewu mind. Playing now takes me back about 40 years to my youth
What a memory refresher. Beautiful music in every respect. The second tract, "the Ital Queen" was always used during wedding ceremonies. I think the lyrics are still relevant today. I recommend it, and the following tract: "God bless the day I found you" for newly wedded couples and perhaps those going through turbulent moments in their marital lives. Cheers Mighty Mytones!!!
