Titus 3:5 says “HE SAVED US” how? By the washing of regeneration. That word washing in Greek literally means baptism. Then we have to finish the verse it says “AND, renewing of the Holy Ghost” this is a direct correlation to John 3:5 when Jesus said “unless a man is Born again of water and Spirit he cannot enter into heaven” you will find that throughout the book of Acts people who wanted salvation were not simply told to receive the Holy Ghost or simply have a mental kind of faith. They were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

@@noeltorres8942 Receveing the Holy Ghost is a spiritual baptism. There are many baptisms. Water baptism however is not part of the salvation of the soul.
1Cor 1:17: "For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect."
Heb 9:14: "How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?". The washing of regeneration is the blood of Christ, not water.
Jesus told Nicodemus in order for anyone to enter the kingdom of GOD one must be born of the water and of the spirit. Thats the two parts of baptism. Baptism of the water and baptism of the Holy Ghost( the Holy Spirit) which JESUS gave us a representation of when he got baptized by John the Baptist and then the Holy Spirit ( Holy Ghost) which is the spirit of GOD came upon him as of a dove but he was already GOD manifested in the flesh he did this for an example for mankind to follow. The scriptures had to be fulfilled for righteousness. Some people can’t understand that . GOD is omnipresent meaning he can be everywhere at the sametime . Water baptism is for the remission of sins ( the removal of your old sins) . You repent and be baptized when you take the water baptism because you asking GOD to forgive you for all the sins you committed and being sorrowful of all your wrong doings and surrendering that you want to live GOD way and not your own way anymore. The baptism of the spirit is when GOD fill you with the gift of the Holy Ghost ( Holy Spirit) and scripture says after you receive the Holy Ghost then you will receive power. The Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit) is to help you live right which brings on conviction in a person helps you fight sin when you yield to the spirit and not your flesh and GOD spirit lead you to all truth. Then in scripture Peter says to those who received the gift of the Holy Ghost before they got baptized bc it can happen he said not to forbid the baptism of water when he was asked so they went and got the baptism of the water even though they received the Holy Ghost first because remember JESUS who was GOD manifest in the flesh of a man told Nicodemus you must be born of the water and of the spirit to enter in the Kingdom of GOD. Hope this helps but don’t just take my word for it read the whole chapters of these scriptures. “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
