Sugar pie . I really in joyed your Girmoire .
Always interesting learning about the indigenous culture.
I’m auntie Blackfoot and cousins are part Blackfoot ! Keep up the good work.
Much love from Lethbridge Alberta 💜
Hello neighbour!! I'm glad you dropped by my humble lil channel & found it interesting! 🥰
Thank you for sharing your Grimoire! I love that you included the part about your own indigenous ancestry as well as the land you currently reside on. :)
Thank you so much!❤
Sugarpie! I loved the huge section and attribution to your family past present and future... my mom shared some images a few years ago of great-great grandparents on both sides and I didn't know what to do with them. Now I do! 💖
I'm glad you found some inspiration, thank you for dropping by🥰
Your book is amazing! Such a personal sentimental history!
Thank you so much!🥰
SugarPie! Thank you so much for sharing your grimoire with us. I loved getting to hear all about your personal touches and memories. I haven't started my 'fancy' grimoire yet, but I have also been planning to add a dedication to the people whose land I am on.
So glad you popped by! I'm happy you found the video worthwhile. 🥰
Sugarpie, Iove your part on your area of where you live, love your book and the content, very intresting. I have Rhomany gypsy in my family, its so hard to find out information on them, as we're nomadic. Would love to do more on that subject to put into my sacred book. Thank you for sharing.
The Romany folk have such a beautiful culture and incredible history. I have an Itty bitty bit of Romanian ancestry and have always loved learning about them. I love the vardos!! Raymond Buckland wrote a cool book called Gypsy Witchcraft and Magic. I really enjoyed the book and found some similarities with some of their practices and what I grew up with. I know you mentioned you have Rhomany ancestry but there I have found a cool Russian Gypsy Furtune Cards set that is pretty cool. They are a unique oracle set. There's a few documentaries on UA-cam about Romanian Magick/witches as well. I wish I could help you more but there's not a whole lot out there but there is some out there, just have to dig around for it. I wish you the best 🥰 keep me posted if you find anything interesting! Would love to hear about it❤
@craftywytch oh wow I will check them out. All I have found out is that my family rommed around and the nearest I've found is that they travelled from Italy up to UK, where I'm from, I imagine they came from Romania to Italy. Thank you for your help, ive subscribed to your wonderful channel 😀
Sugar Pie!!! I luv dis mini comment thread. Bein romanichal (anglo-romani) descent it good 2 see ppl takin respectful interest in our culture/heritage. I actually plan 2 start sharin content bout em, specifically said romanichal and bohemian roma.
@@TheBoujeeMystic369 it would be wonderful if you did share content about your ancestry & culture!! I'd love to learn more and I'm sure others would too! 🥰 Thank you for dropping by for a visit❤
Instead of painting it, maybe try black shoe polish for leather? If nothing else, it’ll give it a good black patina over the green. Be sure to tape over the triquetra real well first tho and take all your pages out as well. Shoe Polish gets everywhere. Wear gloves and put down tracing paper/ cooking parchment while you’re working. And I’d recommend looking up different kinds of polish. There’s different kinds with high and low “luster” that will give more or less reflectiveness to the final product.
Loved your grimoire!! Good luck with whatever you decide to do!
Thank you Sull! I think I'm too intimidated to try that 😄
"Sugarpie!" Thanks for sharing your updated grimoire! I love your setup. All of the history, photos, and artwork make it very interesting, and it will be a treasure to your children and any future generations.
Lol thanks so much Dan! ❤
Sugarpie! I love the beautiful section dedicated to your family ancestors! I also have a small one, but now I’m inspired to add more to it 😃 Thank you 🙏🏼
I'm glad you found it inspirational ❤
Sugarpie, I know I'm late to the party but I really enjoyed this, thank you for making it.
Oh hell, better late than never, I'm just happy you showed up! 😅 Thank you so much for visiting my channel ❤
Sugar pie! Thanks for showing your new and beautiful grimoire! I love the section honoring the original people in your area! I’ll be doing the same in my book! ❤️
Thanks for popping by! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I loved Teia"s idea and had to give a shout out to her!
sugarpie! your grimoire tour was awesome, I loved the pages of your family & ancestors, and your drawing of Medusa was beautiful! Thank you for sharing it with us :) I feel inspired!
Thank you so much!!🥰 I'm happy you enjoyed the tour! I'll have to do another tour soon, as I've added some more things to this grimoire & shuffled a few things around. Thanks so much for visiting ❤
I know this comment is late, but since it looks like no one else mentioned it: since you aren't certain whether the book is real or faux leather, I recommend the brand Angelus for paint. You can use their paints on both real/faux leather, and the paint is actually made for shoes, so it holds up really well. I've used it personally for real/faux leather jackets, and the only place I've had cracking is in the jacket elbow where it bends and rubs constantly. And even the cracking is minimal, kind of like old paintings where you don't see the cracks until you're up close. Angelus also has different sealants, matte/glossy, etc. I really can't recommend them enough.
Thank you so much for the info about the paint!!! That was very helpful and kind of you🥰
Sugarpie! Hello there! Thank you so much for sharing. I love seeing the work that others have put into their own journeys, and how they catalog their own experiences. I love the idea of honoring the original inhabitants of the land, and will definitely be doing so in my own Book! Have a wonderful day.
Hi Brayden, thank you so much! Take care!🧡
You can add Floating Medium to your paint to prevent it from cracking, just fyi. I haven't had issues with my handmade/handpainted covers cracking since I began using it.
Thank you!! I've never heard of it before, definitely worth checking out!
Sugar Pie baby!! Great video and omg thank you for the shout out!! Your ancestry pages are beautiful…I LOVE all the photos! You have a really beautiful book, I can’t wait to see it fill up with Witchy goodness!! ❤️
Thank you for the inspiration Teia!! I want to add a link to your channel once I figure out how to do that haha ❤
@@craftywytch on the channel page there are three little dots in the top right corner (on a mobile anyways…) click them and select Share and it will give you the option to ‘copy link’. Copy it and then edit the video description and paste in the link. Easy peasy! 😊
@@TeiaKennedy thank you! 🥰 I need to get in gear and become more familiar with technology 😆
"Sugarpie!!"... Loved this, and of course I watched to the end! TFS! ~tina
Thank you so much 💓
Sugarpie! Beautiful book. Thank you for sharing your indigenous ancestry. One of the reasons I started my book of shadows is because I feel a lack of connection. You've definitely given me inspiration on what to include on my journey. Thank you.
Thank you so much for dropping by! I'm happy that you found the video an inspiration to you. Have fun creating❤
Absolutely beautiful. This is one of the most meaningful books I’ve ever seen. Thank you for sharing.
Oh, sugarpie. 😉
That's so humbling, thank you!❤
Sugarpie :) This was so lovely to watch! It felt really nice watching you flip through and talk about your ancestry, I'm sentimental myself and when I make my own grimoire I hope it's filled with as much love and sentiment as yours is!
Awwe thank you so much!! 💓
They make paint specifically for leather! :)
I love your grimoire and special what you create on your ancestor pages! Is your 'Opa Steininger' german? Blessings from Germany, Kirsten Viola ♥
Sugar pie! You are so informative !
Hi Mary! Thank you so much!❤
I watched the entire video, Beautiful & meaningful.
Thank you Marcy! Brightest of blessings to you and yours 🧡
sugarpie i loved this video !
Thank you for dropping by!❤
Sugar pie!! 😎😎
Thanks for sharing this Sugarpie!
Thanks for dropping by!
Rather than paint you can try stains. Just put temporary tape over the triquetra lines before you do.
Awesome idea! Thanks so much!
You can buy leather stain in different colours instead of using paint. 😊
Zale, thank you for that fabulous idea!🥰
This is such a beautiful book of shadows!
Thank you very much ❤
Sugar Pie!!
Yayy! Thanks for stopping by!! ❤
Your book is so beautiful. 🤍🔮🤍
Thank you so much! 💓
