Thank you, Pastor Brett for explaining what happened to Jesus after he died on the cross. I have had questions about this and Abraham's Bosom most of my life. Raised roman catholic and attended a protestant youth group. Now, the false teachers are saying (as you mentioned) that all will eventually go to heaven. Thank you for quoting verse references! If anyone can recommend Biblically based books on this topic, I would appreciate it. Shalom!

Athey Creek's lead singing group is very good. The young lady with light hair has been blessed with a very beautiful voice. Praying she will only sing for Jesus and never for the world, NO MATTER how much $$$ offered.

53:00 God in His wisdom allowed the whale tale to occur to convince and or remind this last generation of people.
36:00 Be not discerned, but discerning. God says evil communications corrupts good morals. God is saying don't go there.
Watch at the 1:11:30 mark and add Yoda's voice to pastor Brett. "In poverty, they are".
Many have tried to dismiss this miraculous event as fiction, but the Bible does not describe it as a dream or legend. We should not explain away this miracle ad if we can pick and choose which of the miracles in the bible to believe. That kind of attitude would allow us to question any part of the Bible and cause us to lose our trust in the Bible as God's true and reliable Word. Jonah's experience was used by Christ himself as an illustration of his death and resurrection (Matt 12:39-40)
Boy, I hope this is not too long but I’d like clarification and not a debate if you all can help. On the part of Jesus descending and hell concept:
1. Brett says Jesus preached to the demons: It is my understanding Jesus preached the Salvation news to the people in Paradise (starting with Abel down the line) and not to demons as they know pretty well who Jesus is as it is referred through the gospels. (Thoughts)
2. In order for all of these folks to enter heaven after being in Paradise only by hearing the gospel, why were Enoch and Elijah ascended to heaven without hearing the gospel? (I know God can do what he wants and allelujah for that) (thoughts)
3. It is my understanding sheol is the bad part of the bossom and hell is the lake of fire. People dying in rebellion to God, even people who have never heard of Jesus but not following their good conscience will be placed in sheol until the bema seat and those who died with no law and not knowing Jesus will be given the Gospel prior to entering the Heavens and I believe this is the people the bible refers to “sleeping” in Christ (thoughts?)
4. It is my understanding based in the scriptures that whoever wishes to be separate from God for eternity it will also be granted. Meaning if someone has heard the Gospel and refuses to accept Jesus, then that ticket will have a name at the bema seat (thoughts?)

I think it must have Reeked in the belly of the fish. One of the episodes of Mike Rowe's Dirty Jobs was on a fishing trawler. Mike got sent to the very bottom of the engine to clean it. UGGH! Blegh.
Some say that Jonah was actually in hell.......but then I hear Jesus say he was in the belly of the fish for 3days & 3nights. Obviously his body was in the great fish but did he actually die and his spirit go to hell? Not trying to argue or debate just want clarification.

Trapped in a fish? No he was eaten by a whale and he didn't do crossword puzzles to pass the time, he would have been deaf. And he wasn't rebelling against God, he was scared and he was trying not to get out of it. Big difference.
Read your bible.. it wasn't a whale, it was a fish.
