Love it. Thanks. Did you use the drum sander to remove the tread? I have a bunch (40?) boards but heaitant to get started in tread removal. No drum sander in my small shop.
David, No drum sander. I use a heat gun to soften the treads adhesive. Then use a puffy knife to get under the tread and start to peal it loose. Once enough is free I wrap it around a 3/4 inch dowel and peel it all off. Do all this while maintaining some heat on the immediate area your pealing off. Using clamps I make a holder to direct the heat in order to free up both hands. Good luck, Michael
@@SapperWoodworking I was a 12/21B in the military that is the Sapper I was referring to never heard that name outside of the military. Certainly never heard it as a proper name. Pretty cool.
