Jason figured out the only way to make some people disappointed with a new song release haha. Name it after one people already love! Regardless of how good the other one is (and it'll probably grow on me) this is what I will always consider to be the 'real' More Than Friends 😆
Yeah, the one with Meghan Trainor is horrible. I *_always_* prefer his live versions, but the album version of this song is basically a different song and _so_ much worse.
I agree that this version has something special and maybe has more of jason than the one just released. The comic part of the song is perfect it's kind of sad he turned it into a basic wanna be more than friends asking :(
this song makes me miss Jason's earlier songs. I just love the way the special way he enunciates words in his songs. There's so much character in the way he sings.

I feel like Jason needs to learn to completely separate his live songs from his album ones. He has this whole other side to his catalog, full of songs with a humour element to them, like this, Sail Away and Chocolate etc, that are best when left as they are. Whenever he tries to rework them for the albums, they always suffer.
What I mean is that both this and in the album are good. This is romantic-comedy and in the Album is pure romance. As Jason's avid fan, I love them both. No comparison.
