    You could do this without using so much ebrake. Shows how good the Civic chassis is.

    • @hondahillracing
      @hondahillracing  9 років тому +49

      +Eric Leippe Yea we could do it with less Ebrake but than that will be downhill snow racing , we wanted cars to slide through all corners and connect theam that was impossible without so much Ebrake
      Maybe you want to see racing snow downhill we could do that video also i am sure will be plenty of slides
      Now we work on compilation of winter 2015 but not have so much time for video edits becouse we shoot new 2016 videos as winter give as snow now

      hondahillracing hey im Truth from reno,nv but i live near the metro of st.p and msp i wanna become 1 of the 1st U.S fwd drift pros and to teach and hopefully make all the v8 disbeliefs bout fwd its no dif you get into a slide and you make it look nice and hope it felt nice ^_^ i want either a 91-94 Mitsubishi Mirage with the 4G63 lancer motor and a sts turbo for low boost control or a honda prelude i will use lil bit wider front tires junk lot tires for the rear and the rear springs with be looser but have a fully adjustible antiroll bar so i can make a quick change for street or full slide effect i learned to drift in my dads long gone 94 chevy corsica 3spd Auto with aftermarket z24 rims for more play in the snow and we removed the rear abs so we can break drift in the snow lol.

    • @hondahillracing
      @hondahillracing  9 років тому +8

      julia mcfritze Yea it felt nice, but for FWD drift you need downhill and slippery road bcs much Handbrake will make car 2 slow for nice Drifts its not like RWD which nead only hp for drifts

    Cool videos guys. I have the same fun with my DC2, it's actually a monster in light to moderate snow when I put the all seasons on it. But then when you want to have fun like this it's not hard either, I love it. My girl has a 14 Camaro 2LS and even though it's rwd and has more power it's nowhere near as fun in the snow. Even with stability control defeated it's not very nimble in snow. Might be a little better if it didn't have 20" summer tires and an auto gearbox but still, my Honda bests it for snow Hands down. When it snows she wants me to drive her to work; in the Honda mind you not in my truck lol.

      @hondahillracing  9 років тому +3

      +Vlad Micut For fwd snow drift No . You can get some good slides also with going snow downhill racing but for nice slide through whole turn and connect turns cant be done without hand brake for that you nead RWD but there you also nead handbrake to connect all corners if going downhill becouse sometime thorttle will bring you off track so all 180R downhill corners will be done with hand brake for all types RWD,FWD and AWD

    The road was flat. You will be out of control immediately if it was downhill and curve. I accident drove in snow for first time in top of mountain, and I had to through 10%-20% slope downhill with LOT of curves. It took me 45 minutes from top to bottom. I remembered that I can't control downhill and curve. So I had to keep myself slow down below 10 mph or 5 mph. Are you able to control downhill and curve? I'm curious.

    • @hondahillracing
      @hondahillracing  8 років тому +7

      +Marcelino Sanders Yes you get full control if you know how to drift car and road is not flat its in fact downhill but with low slope %

    • @jackrayce5734
      @jackrayce5734 8 років тому +5

      +Marcelino Sanders us drivers that are experienced in the snow can probably control it alot better than you if it was your first time driving in snow. obviously skill comes from practice and experience.

    • @thimble288
      @thimble288 9 років тому +8

      ogggooo True, they could do the same drifting and squirt between corners a lot faster. But that's not really the point here, and I'm glad somebody is showcasing the fact that FWD is great if you have the right car. I have owned old BMW's almost exclusively, but I would happily own one of these Civics. Hondas are underrated among people who haven't owned them. Very neat cars, very proud of their development and engineering.
      Subarus are cool too! But if Honda made a WRX fighter, the WRX would be in trouble.

    • @IntelGoesHard
      @IntelGoesHard 9 років тому +2

      Eric Leippe I like Hondas actually. The old AWD civics seems like a neat development by Honda that never got pursued enough. If they were to make a modernized turbo version the WRX may have a stiff competitor I'd agree. Right now Ford is making the Festiva (I think? or maybe the Focus?) with AWD and a turbo which really puts the heat on Subaru and Mitsubishi to step up their game. It should be fun to see if the AWD car world starts to change

    • @thimble288
      @thimble288 9 років тому

      ogggooo The Evo is no more after 2015. The Focus RS is going to be an absolute beast, and will probably destroy the STi. Good! Subaru needs competition.
