Fantastic concert, Blew our perspective of eletronic music influencing everything that has come since. From Oxygene through to seeing him in London Docklands, he is a genius in our time. It is sad to think it could not be repeated due to possible Terrorism. If you listen to his interpretation of the technology and music he intergrated in a new format, it is strange from todays perspective to see how he nailed it. Like the dedication to Astronaut Ron McNair and the crew of the Challenger
Yep, he came to Dublin Ireland, where I live last Month. I missed it sadly as it sold out in seconds. I have the 'new' Version of Oxygene. I think it was done with the same Analogue equipment, and so it souds pretty much exactly the same to me.
Strange how he sayes at 5:45 that the 'Pure Rock Concert Format is fading out' when it really only goes around in circles. Its very strong now 21 Years later.

Jarre is a master showman. This is the kind of positive music and art America needs again, in this age of everything dark & dingy!

@1963mathetes
Challenger disaster was Jan. 28, 1986.
Rendezvous Houston was April 5, 1986.
That has made me laugh. He is a legend but you've got that spot on!

a look of houston JMJ concert!
actually it took place after the Challenger accident. from what i remember, Ron was suppose to appear from space and play his sax
This is obviously before the Challenger disaster, it's very sad that Ron McNair's solo was never realized. Still, I wish I could've been there.
Elvits.... haha! I lold..
Seems to have dipped off the radar a bit lately. What's he up to?
Tain j'imaginais pas que Jarre avait un "franch accent" si grossier :D
