For casual users like me it's perfect. Im not going to drop $1000 plus for crapola I will NEVER use especially since im not a gamer (candy crush and angry birds are my extent) only use it for videos at work and said birds and candy. I snagged it during Prime Day for cheap!
Just side load the Google Store on it and you have access to everything. I've done this on multiple Fire tablets for years. It's really easy to do. Multiple step by step guides online.

Im just coming to this review. Thank you for doing Geekbench benchmarks. I was trying to decide between a refurbished Fire HD 10 2021 and a new Fire HD 10 2023. Geekbench is just super helpful instead of something like app launch comparisons. I just wanted something to take notes on with a generic powered tablet pen and the 2021 Fire 10 is half the price refurbished. This review has been really helpful.
i actually quite enjoy my fires pen. i did all my art on my ms surface but its getting quite old so i thought id give this a try. i really like the form factor for drawing. feels more like a small sketchbook whereas the surface feels like a larger piece of paper. the pen isnt perfect but it is very nice for the price. i only paid 133 dollars for the tablet and the pen and its mostly replaced my surface. ive only really used the pen in hipaint so im not sure how in works in other apps.
"prices remain the same and performance also remains the same, a great example of hidden inflation" somebody needs to go back to economics class lol. the same price for the same performance is not inflation. also it's not true here, the cpu in the 2023 hd10 is more powerful than the 2021 model. perhaps the gpu power is similar is what you meant, but i find cpu power far more important personally, as it affects ui and task speed. as if you care about game gfx, you wont game on any mobile device anyway.

I bought mine on sale for reading comics and it's perfect for that. I've no need for anything more.
